I have a room provisionally booked at Mirage for Feb but have been looking at other places, I usually stay centre Strip but I was looking at NYNY and basing myself towards the south end this time. I have stayed at Mirage but never stayed at NYNY and was wondering what the rooms are like compared to Mirage.

    Thanks

The Mirage is a much better overall property with way better rooms.

Mirage is pretty much better across the board, including rooms. I like the south end of the Strip, but NYNY is my third favorite property down there

The rooms we've had at Mirage were a bit more spacious. I would stay at NYNY again if I wanted that end of the Strip.

If it's nicer rooms you're after, Mirage hands down. If it's gaming you're after, I like NYNY atmosphere better. Food choices are limited at Mirage too, whereas NYNY has more comfort food and grab and go places.

Have to agree that there are a lot of food options at NYNY, I have some M Life offers so just looking at them to see what is best and there ar some nice NYNY offers.

As others have said, Mirage rooms win hands down. But NYNY rooms aren't terrible so if you aren't picky about your room, I like the location of NYNY (especially if you are a MLife player) is much, much better. You have easy access to MC, Aria, MGM, Excal, with a quick tram ride from Excal to Luxor and MB.

if your offer is better at NYNY, I'd go there. And I'm bias because I love Mirage, but their food and casino gets boring after a while. You're also far from sister properties which isn't a big deal if you don't gamble, but if you do, it's nice to have a choice.

I have now changed my booking and as you can see by my countdown background I have moved it to NYNY. I have booked a Madison Ave room.

Let us know what you think. you shouldn't be disappointed if you know you're getting a basic room but a nice overall hotel, and it's so close to the other MGM properties.

I will doing a TR so will put my opinion of the room in there, I do tend to stay mid Strip so basing myself at this end gives me a few different places to go especially at night and a lot of food choices as well.
