Hubby and I will be staying at NYNY in March for our first anniversary. Got a great deal via mlife email ($29/night for Park Ave room) and I was curious if anyone had experience with upgrading to a suite. I had planned to ask for a corner room on a high floor, but if upgrading to a suite wouldn't be that much more expensive, I'd be up for that.

    Any thoughts?

No experience at NY NY, but I can tell you that no one can really answer that. It's going to depend on when you are there - are you there during the week or on a weekend - because you would stand a much better chance during the week. March is a busy time in Vegas - especially during MM. What kind of suite are looking to upgrade to. Their spa suite is only $40 more than a Park Avenue room. The Marquis suite is around $60 more. The Ziggurat suite is around $125 more.

I would definitely have them priced out so that if they can offer you an upgrade, you kind of have an idea already of what you would be willing to pay for which kind of a suite. Go check out the web-site, as they have pictures of all the suites.

Now with that said, I've stayed in the Ziggurat suite and it was fun - if you like kitschy - and a green tint on everything as the windows are green :)
