What is the difference between the 4 towers (Chrysler, Empire, New Yorker and the Century) at NYNY?

Is there one with less traffic? Only certain rooms are in certain towers etc?

I feel like Century has the most traffic by far. I don't like staying in that tower because the elevators are always crowded.

I like the New Yorker elevator bank. Doesn't seem as crowded when I stay in it.

I've stayed there a lot and never been in the Empire or Chrysler towers. When I walk by the Chrysler elevator bank, it always seems deserted.

One of the unique things about the hotel is that the 3rd floor connects to all four towers.

Same here, have stayed there 6 times and have only been in Century and NY. Agree about the Century elevators, pretty jammed all the time. Try to get down from a middle floor at check out time...forget about it.

That said I've never had a bad room there. Always clean, quiet and comfortable. Love the resort.

Stayed in the Chrysler tower for the first time last week. Never a long wait for one of the 2 elevators. Stayed there 2 nights and usually rode up/down by myself. Nice quiet tower. Same size rooms as the basic ones in the Century tower. Different color decor, darker. Rooms have a connecting door inside to your neighbor's room.

Stayed at NYNY almost a dozen times. The Chrysler tower had the least amount of foot traffic. It's at the end of the long food court, but there's a side door out to The Park close by.

How do you know what tower you'll get? Are Park Avenue and Madison Avenue rooms each in their own tower or are they mixed about in all of them?

They're mixed throughout the towers. You won't know what tower you'll get till the check in attendant gives you your key.
