I'm staying at The Orleans for 2 nights (12/31 and 1/1). I'll leaving San Diego around 3pm. I'm thinking I will arrive at the hotel after 10pm. What could I do that night? I've heard stories of the casinos not letting people in after 4pm? I'm not sure if I want to stay at the orleans but I'm wondering if arriving that late will limit any thing fun to do?

    Ideas?

It'll be BUSY, but since it's a few miles away from "The Strip", it won't be CRAZY...but I would bet dollars to donuts, that the TRAFFIC on 15North will be INSANE, ALL THE WAY.
BUT, if you're going to do it, I'd go to Orleans and STAY (watch the Strip Fireworks from atop the Orleans Parking Garage)

    Hi,
I stayed at the Orleans last New Year's Eve. An employee told me there is a great view of the Strip fireworks from the top level of the Orleans parking garage (the same place TIMSPEED mentioned). I went up there about 11:45 pm. There were about 100 people there, mostly employees of the hotel and their families. The fireworks were beautiful! I could see them from the Stratosphere down to about the Cosmopolitan. I couldn't see the display by the MGM. The whole thing was so easy!
    Aloha,
    Jennifer
