i was just at a few mlife props so ill be posting bj updates these will not include hl rooms.
    first up ny ny.

i noticed as i went to differnt mlife properties as they get rid of there old felt the new ones dont say 3/2 or 6/5 just have insurance 2/1

all bj is by either a placq on the tabe that they can remove or change at a whim or in led printed by the table minimus.

except for dd there are 2 only one open and one handicap table (shoe) at ny ny all other tables where 6/5 and the thing about the dd and the shoe handicap there wasnt anything posted you had to ask so it can be changed when ever they feel like it.

shocking as cet trys to improve i gues mlife is doing the oposite or relized the low end place the people dont know the differnce so they might aswell give them what they want.:drunk:

Thanks PP. You may report this later, but I was under the impression that Mirage (which I thought still was considered mid-to-high end) went to almost all 6/5 on the main floor several months ago.

I know the amount of 6/5 on the Strip tends to be overblown by some, but the wholesale almost total removal of 3/2 at some places is a disturbing trend.

You predicted this some time ago paper. Mlife is converting to 6:5.

yup i have luxor report coming tommorrow ,not much better than ny ny but it was better belive it or not .

i hit ny ny , Luxor ,and paris and the only casino that hasnt changed is paris all today

the blanket statement that mlife is better at bj just doesnt work any more its litlerly property by porperty and searching out the good tables.

but i was shocked at ny ny basicaly all say 6/5 on evey table , there catering to that crowd that doesnt know

basicaly if you want to play bj at ny ny u either play dd and hope its still 3/2 or have to go into the hl room at 100$ a hand no other choice. i have pics but cant get them to post on the new board

Thanks for the information. It is reassuring that CET seems to be moving in the right direction with this, even if Mlife is not...

Thanks for the update. I will be staying there for 2 nights starting June 24th. By chance do you remember what the limit started at for the double deck game? My guess is it would be $25. And just to verify the DD game is 3:2?

In March MGM Grand seemed to be mostly 3:2. I only played half a dozen times, but every time I did it was 3:2. $25 tables usually.

I was there in April. There were a few 6:5 tables, but they were definitely out numbered by the 3:2

Is CET trying to improve? Have they been changing 6:5 games to 3:2? I wouldn't start polishing CET's knob just yet, MGM props may be catching up to CET but it was CET who spread bad gambling the most before anyone else on the strip. It sucks that some of the MGM props are becoming just as ghetto, but at Aria, Bellagio, and MGM Grand you still have a lot of the best blackjack in probably all of Vegas.

Caesars is CET's high-end equivalent and from what I saw during my last trip the BJ was pretty awful. I didn't even look to see if it was 6:5 because pretty much every table I saw was H17 which I don't want to play either. Their high limit room is good but their DD is H17. At the top MGM casinos it isn't.

At PH the high limit DD game is H17 and no DAS. I never even bothered to ask about DAS because I don't think I've ever played on a table where it wasn't allowed, especially in a high limit room. I only found out while I was playing and losing out because I kept getting DAS opportunities I couldn't take advantage of.

I wish it was more overblown, then it wouldn't exist. Its peoples' apathy that allows it to spread.

What is it with NYNY being so cheap? I've never understood why this property always seems so much worse than other MGM casinos, even the lower-end ones like Excalibur.

The castle?? Lets' not get crazy now, lol. It's a lower tier MGM property. Personally, I would rank it ahead of Excalibur and Luxor, but behind Monte Carlo

Honestly, even at Excal I've never had a dealer actively harangue me for tips. I don't mean "cheap" in the inexpensive/lower-tier sense, I just always feel nickle-and-dimed every time I set foot in that place.

Ya, when I was at Paris the first week of May that entire row of BJ tables outside the HL Room were $25 3/2 during prime time. Played for about an hour and half, and the dealers were decent. Won a little, up a hundred and change, and then called it a night. Seemed better than it was in the recent past, though as I mentioned I don't play much BJ nowdays other than tournaments. Will try again to touch bases with you at the Paris Diamond lounge or at the those tables next we are in town, perhaps September. Everyone should appreciate your efforts to keep the real gambling info in town current.
    thanks, Outsider
