Looked on the GN website for rates later this year and saw that the rates for Carson rooms with two doubles are $20 more per night than ones with just one king. Granted, the same thing has been seen at a lot of places on the Strip for a while now, but just another example of the hotels squeezing more dollars out of us.

How is this squeezing? It's capitalism. Don't like it, don't pay it. It's the American way!

I haven't paid for a room in 4 years. If you are a true Las Vegas devotee, rooms are comped. Otherwise, pay the bill and quityourbitchn!

When searching for rooms I've also noticed that the rates are higher for more than 2 people. Even for a room with two beds that claims to hold 4 people. Maybe this is how it's a always been, I don't know. This is the first time I'm going with 3 of us!
@gregluvsvegas Not everyone gets their rooms comped.

Congratulations on not having to pay for a room in 4 years greg :nworthy:

Not everyone on here gets comped rooms (including me), but may still be a " true Las Vegas Devotee".

The Nugget always seems quick to jump onto the ways of the strip properties when it comes from separating folks from their dollars.

I dont think its taking undue advantage. Its their hotel and they can charge what they can get for the rooms.

Of course, the Downtown Grand is for sale if anyone wants to try their hand at it themselves. Might be fun.

Nothing special here. Many hotels/motels charge more for two beds than one bed.
With extra bed, they have to provide (and clean) more beddings, linens, towels. That's extra cost.
