I was playing DDB Poker yesterday at Pechanga and I held the ace and the first row filled in with the royal. Threw me for a loop because I had been holding 3 and 4 to a royal and nothing happened.. im happy, although it was only on nickles..

    just had to share

    congrats!

and you almost hit aces on that 2nd hand. How ridic would that have been if you hit a royal and aces-kicker on the same hand on triple play!?!?

Any Royal works for me. Congrats on the Big, but elusive Royal! :nworthy:

I've had only one, and it was on nickels too.

Next trip to Vegas, I hope to break my Royal Virginity on 25c.

If that happens, I'll guess I have to start playing 50c VP.

And if that happens, I'll love it, but then I'm in trouble. For then its $1 Virgin Territory and on my budget, that is not easily possible.

The problems some people have...

I also had some kick ass multipliers, hit the 10X a few times, but didnt even get a JOB hand, but then when I would have decent cards, I would have the 2X or no multiplier lol

Congrats on your first Royal. I don't know if I should be surprised or not, but 3 of my Royals have come holding a sole Ace.

    Hey Now!

It took me 4 years or so to get my first Royal. .50 , then another year for #2. .25. Then in 2013 I got my first ones in Vegas. One was $1. On 01.01.2014 I got a .50 in Vegas. Still stalking the $1 in AC- gonna try my best in a couple of weeks!
    Congrats on your first!

Probably the only older virgins than me live in an abbey. Been playing VP for 13 years, probably closing in on 200K, and no royal. Last trip I was dealt 4 to a royal five times. I drew four blanks and one regular flush.

    Anyway, congrats to you!

Getting dealt 4 to a royal isn't that hard. It should take roughly 6 hours on average if you play 450 hands/hr which is quite leisurely imo. It's that 5th card that sucks. I am 16 months w/o a royal iin the casino and have bricked the 4 to a royal draw at least 30 times since.

My streak isn't terrible though. I may only average 5 to 10 hours of mostly single line play a month. I'm not sure if I have even played 40K hands in 16 months.

Now go 200k hands like bardolator, then it's rough. I don't even want to imagine, sorry. :(

    [/hijack] congrats sporty!
