I've seen some recomendations on these boards about Nora's Italian Restaurant. We plan to have a car one day on our upcoming trip. Can you tell me more about the restaurant. Specialties? Dress code? Etc?

We will be getting the car to stop at a few off strip casinos. South point, Orleans and Rio. I figured we could possibly stop there before the Rio.

    Thanks

Don't expect Nora's on Flamingo to knock your socks off. It's an ordinary-looking pizza shop on one side and an ordinary-looking restaurant on the other. It's located in an ordinary-looking small strip mall. What Nora's does well is to serve standard Italian fare made well in large portions. The help is friendly and attentive. You can bring in your own wine for a corking fee. You can order one big salad for the table. I usually order fruitti di mare or one of the specials. Marinara sauce is very good, so you can eat a good meal cheap if you want. Haven't tried pizza.

Lot of locals. People tend to dress casual-nice there. Some dress up; most do not. The t-shirt and flipflop crowd generally avoid the place or don't know about it.

This a very nice place to dine. Food and service are very good. Casual dining. Prices are descent as well. Pizza and pasta are wonderful. You should enjoy it.
