I do not have a host. I wanted to charge everything to my room so it could possibly be covered by the casino. If I do not have a host, will the casino comp my charges to the room even though I do not have a host (using primary comps)? I know EC are much harder to earn with the new system. I play $100-200 per hand in baccarat.

Depends on the property, and depends how much you charge to the room. Keep in mind the lower tier properties will value your black action a lot more than say Bellagio or Aria. At the rate of play you described, at about 4-6 shoes of baccarat a day, picking up food charges to the room shouldn't be an issue at all.

You will need a host to have charges to your room picked up by the casino. It would probably help to speak to a host at the property you want to stay at to get a definitive answer.

You can charge everything to your room then visit a host before you check out, and they'll take off what they can based on your play. It might be all, it might just be some. But it's always worth a try, because it only takes 5 minutes.

Do you think I should get a host at Aria with my level of play? I plan to play 10-14 hours of baccarat in 2 days at $100-200 per hand, 40-50 hands per hour. Do you think they will comp me on my food room charges?

You can either get a host, or you can just get the on duty host the day you check out.

    Thank you for your help.

How do I contact the host on duty? Do I call them and ask?

They have an office -- just walk in. Or if you can't find it, go to the regular players club desk and ask them to talk to a host

One thing I have picked up by reading some of the other Bacc players on the board is that you HPH really won't matter as casinos rate Bacc play based on shoes. I don't remember the exact rate (shoe = X time), but Shifter or one of the others might be by to chime in on that.

    Generally speaking 1 shoe = 1 hour.

The missing piece of the equation is what number the casino uses for hands per shoe/hour.

If you don't know that, you can't calc your theo.

Midi would be 65/hr mini closer to 80. Just a guess.
