The D is getting rid of the Keurig coffee makers in their rooms. I guess the $20 resort fee wasn't enough to support that "resort" luxury. Overall, I still like the room changes but downgrading so soon seems kinda foreboding? Hope they aren't going the way of the Plaza and their grand remodel?

That stinks...I for one am not functional without that cup of coffee in pj's watching the news. I'm also not one that will go out and spend 5 bucks on a cup of coffee. Oh well, if I were to stay there again I would just bring my own coffeemaker :)
Hopefully they are not shooting themselves in the foot with these changes. I enjoy staying downtown for either all or part of my trip and last time I did so, it was at the D, but since the implementation of the resort fee I've looked at staying at other places down there.
    Good luck to em

My best guess is they took them out because not many people used them... I can get great coffee at the McDonald's downstairs at The D at a very reasonable price... especially the prices for seniors. I personally love McDonald's coffee and do greatly resent being charged for coffee to drink in my room... you do miss being able to drink your coffee in your p.j.'s but that is offset by being able to play a low rolling slot while sipping away... and ordering o.j. or a mimosa to go with it from the nearest wait person.

My guess would be too many people were taking their own pods.

Thanks for the information. I'll pack my little travel pot if I book there.
