I was playing in a golf tournament last Friday and I tore my rotator cuff. After a strong drive from one of my teammates,we all went to hit our second shot. My teammate hit his second shot and chunked it. I dropped a ball a few inches away and proceed to hit a shot with a 8 iron. I must have a buried sprinkler head. I hit it flush and you could hear the popping sound come from my shoulder area. It hurt like hell and I knew that it wasn't't good. I had injured my shoulder in college while on the baseball team. Seeing the doctor next week to determine my options.

I have hit rocks but never anything like this.

    That totally sucks!

I once totally pured a 4-wood and turned to my playing partner and said "I am a fairway wood god". I took one step and my spikes got caught in a sprinkler head, severely spraining my ankle and ending golf for that year.

I should have passed on the tournament. We were playing at this PB Dye course that I have never cared for. The greens are great but the fairways suck.

Sorry, man. I've blasted a few tree roots. Not fun.
