Im gonna be with some 30 somethings over the last weekend of march.

How is this place on the weekends? We are not club guys but do like to mingle with the opposite sex. Busy, laid back, lots of girls, average age?

Been 5 or 6 times during the week and on weekends and it can get very busy when the bands start (10ish?). Don't really consider this place a club in any sense of the word, more like a real Irish pub with loud music, tight quarters and lots of drunken buffoonery. I like the place a lot, but for me I need to get there a tad early and grab a seat in order to enjoy the fun.

Might want to consider the Bar At Times Square (piano bar) which is right next door but also gets crowded. More ladies in there in my experience.

Nice post, how do those 2 bars compare to the Heart Bar at PH ? Which was a good people meeting/hooking up place last time we were there.

9 Fine is a pretty diff vibe than the Heart Bar, you are comparing a hard drinking pub type to a trendy lounge. Two diff animals, you are much less likely to pick up a girl at 9 Fine, but would def find some good drinking pals.

Time Square is much more similair. I spent a night there and witnessed some sights and heard some stories that are not fit for print. I also had a few drinks with their in house promo man "Vinny Da Man", he had a couple beauties with him for sure!!

    Enjoy!!

Every time I've been to 9 Fine Irishmen it's been a pretty high ratio of guys to girls. Nice place to drink black and tans though.

Time Square sounds well worth a look.

Last time I went to Nine Fine Irishman must of been about 3 years ago and they had a cover charge in the evening, but if you had something to eat there earlier in the day then if you showed your receipt the cover charge got waved.
Does anyone know if this is still the case, Cheers

Nine Fine Irishmen is great, like someone else said earlier you will definitely find some drinking buddies in there, and you can always venture upstairs to Coyote Ugly if you want to try your luck with the ladies.

If you are not into the club scene then I believe you would not enjoy Heart Bar. It tends to have a higher DB/Trendy factor, granted it is almost a glorified casino bar.
