Last night I had some friends last minute want to go out. Basically 12 guys to start with 4 from vegas and rest out of town. We started at Rockhouse at about 1030 and the place was pretty busy. Come to find out its a popular spot for the club crawls to start. I was buying drinks for a friend and Jack Daniels on ice for 2 were $20. So not bad at all. In all reality they were heavy pours it was 3-4 shots, so not a bad start to the night. We got there kind of late in the evening so no table nor beer pong table so we just chilled. We left at about 1130 and walked less than 5 minutes to Tao. At this point we picked up a group of 5 ladies, so now 18 total. A simple, walked right by the line wrapped around the escalator balcony. In less than 10 minutes from walking out of Rockhouse we had drinks in hand at Tao.

1140 at Tao and some nice heavy pours and our doubles/triples/maybe quad shots ran us $20. The hip hop room was packed and the main room was packed, but not jammed up.

1230 we headed down to The Act and yet again just a 5 minute walk and in less than 10 minutes drinks in hand. We picked up 5 more ladies so now we are at 23. Walk in, no cover, no line. So lets say real happy group. 2 drinks were $24 here, but there was very little ice and Jack Daniels near the top of the glass, so I think for vegas drink prices, this is good. We stayed at The ACT till 120 and decided to go to Light.

145 ish we arrived back entrance to The Hotel, and now we had 26. Again, simple text and we got escorted in the first door on the left. All the ladies got 2 drink tickets, the guys got 1 and we paid no cover . All the people were amazed at light. The Acts are amazing, the light show, the crowd, it just blew away the group. our jack Daniel's doubles were $16 a piece here. Smaller glasses with more ice.

After it was all said and done some of us still had time to make it Sapphire and PT's for some water.

For people visiting Vegas and have no clubs there are tons of options for nightclubs, strip clubs and lounges. If your not as brave to venture from your hotel, look at the lounges or clubs in your hotel. Keeps you from having to drink and drive, or taxi or limo.
You can also call the clubs directly to get on guestlist, ask them if that covers entry or cover. Every club is a little different.

Hi, I just posted something about clubs for people in the 30 or 40+ range.....sounds like you have been around the block a bit, literally, would you have any suggestions?

Rockhouse sounds like a decent place, is that for the younger crowd?

I am almost 45, and I will be in the city for most of November and would love to find a place to hang out which plays good hard rock or metal music in a casual, not too dressy atmosphere. I don't want to be "that guy" sticking out like a sore thumb in a club more meant for people my kids' ages; but at the same time would like to grab the occasional beer while I am in town, somewhere besides my hotel lounge [wherever that may be, I will be changing a lot].

    Thanks!

It is a younger person place, but there were still guys in suits and older crowd. I say 30-40% were over 35
