Hey. We're in Vegas right now until Tuesday. Do any of you know somewhere we can go out and dance and have fun, but isn't Hakkasan etc which is EDM & stupid money for entrance and drinks?
    Thanks guys

    Hey pd54,

Am interested in replies to your post because this issue is something we have run into during our many trips to Vegas.

So while I am waiting for the VMB gang to supply the usual good advice, I’ll interject what I know about it remembering that I am seeking information, not supplying any expert opinion, so some I what I say could not be accurate…this is what I got,

The Tropicana has a lounge that caters to “top 40” music and dancing and the over forty crowd. Don’t think there is a cover. It located outside the theater on the casino floor.
The MB has a lounge, the Orchard lounge that has a small two/three band, again playing over forty music and a small dance floor. There is also a larger venue with a stage that hosts various types of cover bands during the week. Again, I don’t think there is a cover charge because each of these locations are “open areas” on the casino floor.

The Voodoo Lounge over at the Rio has an excellent outdoor setting on the 50th. floor and a great view of the strip at night. Mid-week setting with a DJ was slightly elevated party vibe but not anything like a high energy “club”, not sure about cover, but I know there is none if you eat diner there.
Plus, Margaritaville at the Flamingo, some of the pubs along the Linq promenade. The ‘PUB’ at the Monte Carlo. Dueling piano’s at NYNY. Toby Keith’ at Harrah’s and Gilly’s at TI for CW fun.

Am sure there are a lot more places to fit your request. I suppose it safe to say that most strip hotels have something that’s between a quite bar and a “super club”. Perhaps some of the fun is in just finding the perfect location for you. The little I know about the subject is based on mid-week, the weekend would probably change the vibe and the cost. Let’s hope this post get the info. flowing so we can both get informed. Enjoy your stay!

We have had the best time at Tropicana in there lounge no cover and a live band. Also the Bourbon Room at Venetian was a great time. It has 80's music mostly and shows the videos on the screens. We danced at these places until we couldn't feel our legs any more.

I love the piano bar at NYNY. Carnaval Court at Harrah's is a blast too. If you'd like to catch a neat view, try the Voodoo Lounge (Rio), Mix (Delano), or Foundation Room (Mandalay Bay). FR is the most exclusive, but all three can be accessed fairly easily if you get there before about 830 or 9.

The Bond Bar at the Cosmo has a "nightclub" vibe without being a club.

We ended up that night at the Lift Bar in the Aria. There was a guy playing called Daniel Park who was fantastic! Wasn't what we were originally looking for, but we had a really good night.

Gilly's at TI was recommended to us as a good 'country' place on the strip.

Last year i checked out the Gold Lounge at Aria and I had a blast. There was a good selection of current and 90's hip hop and R&B. Not sure what else music they had, but it was fun. Plenty of places to sit as well.

Literally every casino now has a non-club bar that gives a great experience.
Good suggestions being thrown out such as Bond and Bourbon room. V Bar at the V also OK.
