I'm into week 9 only 15 people left, choices are
San Diego +8 vs KC at home
    Det +3 at Jacksonville
    Chicago +3 At Tenn
    Denver +4 at Cinn

just need a winner no spread involved to move on. , I want to go with the Chargers tommorow but they really look sucky lately

I wouldn't touch SD with a ten foot pole right now. Denver is due for a letdown.

Chicago seems to be a pretty safe bet against a very bad Tenn. team

Go with the Bears. They're on the road, but they are rested and a touchdown better than TN

I would use SD in that spot. How many more opportunities will there be to use them in the future? At home against the Panthers?

Well you could have used them last week against the Browns...of course you would have lost. I have a rule. Don't bet on teams that lose to the Browns.

It is not an easy decision.

San Diego +8 vs KC at home Chargers are awful. KC has talent and probalby sick of losing.
Det +3 at Jacksonville Jacksonville stinks. This is the best bet.
Chicago +3 At Tenn Bad teams at home tend to play well against good teams. Tenn. beat Pittsburgh at home earlier this year.
Denver +4 at Cinn Denver might have a little letdown after last week's win against NO. Bad teams at home tend to play well against good teams. Good teams
tend to overlook bad teams. I wouldn't play this.

Cincy isn't as bad as people think, either.

    JWBlue's analysis looks pretty sharp.
It's tricky, but I'd probably go with the Lions too.

Jacksonville just played GB tough. GB > Detroit. They're essentially the same team (can't run, suspect D), except GB has Rodgers.

In survivor pools I don't take road teams unless I have very few options left.

Chargers could easily romp tomorrow night, but most of us don't trust them.
They do have the league's most dislikeable quarterback, though.

What NFL team can you trust?
It's a survivor pool so at some time you have to pick a team that isn't one of the best.

All very good points both pros, and cons now more confused than ever LOL

Upon further review, I'm thinking the Det game could be a trap, being on the road with big division games upcoming in next 2 weeks,
Denver is due for a fall and Cincy is not that bad IMO and could pull the upset, The Bears also in possible trap as well , I hate to go with the Chargers, since they looked so bad last few weeks and a division game to boot. But unfortunatly I think its my best bet. I know you should not think ahead but if I get by this one I got Det at home against Indy later in the month I could use, and as one poster mentioned " Who else can I use the Chargers againt in up coming weeks anyhow?
Thats why they call it gambling  going with the Charger to-nite wish me luck

    Chargers might win, but ug-ly.

Ditto Bears. They might be too good to be in a trap, but they should be able to outlast Tennessee.

I like Cincinnati and Jacksonville this week.

I genearally try to stay away from divisional/rivalry games and home underdogs. With that said though, SD is probably the best choice of the games you listed. But I would also consider Detroit.

I play in something similar. But you pick the loser and more importantly you can reuse a team. I have 2 entries left. I turned in 5. Out of nearly 700 entries, there are 33 left. Over 90% of the entries were lost in the 1st 3 weeks of the season. I will be going with Arizona and Buffalo this week.

    Good luck!

Take SD tonight, when you win, you can enjoy Sunday watching games instead of worrying
