so, on my 7th trip i finally decide to obtain the physical TR card (before I just used online acct. for booking). I gambled with it, and spent money at restaraunts and stuff... my Tier Score: 418, Reward Credits: 498.

I spent ~$900 on the room itself, why isn't this showing up anywhere? I thought you got 1 pt for every $ spent on hotel?

Since it is my first time using the card, do you think I can expect any kind of offer such as a little room discount? Thats what i'm hoping for!

Are you talking about the TR players card or TR Visa card?

When did you go/gamble? May take a while for your TR account to update. Should check periodically on the rate calendar to see if anything changes. From your tier score, it looks like you did very little gambling. Depending if you played table games or slots, you should at least get discounted rooms.

There can be a lag in Tier Credits for hotel spend showing up in your account. They should show up by the end of next week.

Are you saying you had a TR account before, and had stayed at CET properties on reservations made with your account number attached, but just had never picked up a card and used it while playing?

If that's the case, here's the problem:

If you never had a TR account until the most recent trip, then you're new to them, and you would probably get at least one round of decent comp availability and/or offers, as teasers to get you back so they can get a read on you.

But if you already had booked a room using your account, but never had or used a card, then you have one or more "no play" stays in their eyes. They know you were there, but it looks like you didn't play at all. It looks to them like you don't play much and are willing to pay for your room.

Once your Tier Credits hit, check the availability calendars and see what you get.

Yeah, the second description applies. I only booked one trip through them before, last year, and didn't actually pick up the TR card (not the VISA) to use while gambling. So i guess that counts against me as a no-play trip, bummer. Yeah this trip I didn't do too much gambling, just some slots and a few decent roulette sessions at $30 a spin and a little sports. I was just hoping for that first teaser offer, not expecting anything really.

On my first trip using my TR card in November I got 800 reward credits and a few months later I start to receive comps at some casinos. I play no more than $500 in three days so I think is good for me. Just use your TR for everything.

A single previous visit with no play might not hurt you too bad. See how the availability calendars look next week, that should tell you.

You could spend thousands on your room and get no credit. Easy. Your reservation MUST include your TR number. Without it, they do not know you are the same person that has card with a similar name.

OK so it has updated my info, and now i am showing Tier Score 2,335 and reward credits 1,415. Shows im basically half way to platinum. I make usually two trips per year, and I have one more left. What would be the benefit of attaining platinum, and would it just reset back to Gold by the time my next trip rolls around?

Best thing I love about Plat is line skipping, especially at check in and the cage.

No resort fees with platinum either. That adds up to a pretty significant savings over the course of a 4-5 night trip, in the neighborhood of $100 total.

If you attain platinum during the 2014 calendar year, you will remain platinum thru March of 2016.

Cool, yeah I think i'm going to try to hit platinum this year, why not? I got up to the check-in desk this trip, and I was wearing the LIGHT nightclub hat I got from my last trip, they must have thought I was a local/regular because every other agent I heard saying "early check in fee blah blah" but my agent didn't hit me with that at all!

Totally forgot about that! But ya, I'd say that's the biggest perk, saved me $88 at Ballys last trip and will save that much at PH in Nov.
