    Hi everybody,

I found this board a couple days ago and I'm glad I did!! Leaving for my very first trip to Las Vegas next week. I'm 26 and originally from Germany, but currently in California for an internship so I'm spending the holidays alone. I'll be doing a lil round trip through some national & state parks and will then head to Las Vegas to stay there from the 25th-29th. Will also spend my birthday (dec 27th) there, so if anybody has fun suggestions on what I could do that day, please let me know (female travelling alone...don't know if I feel comfortable enough to hit a club all on my own lol).

Thanks a lot for all the great info on this board!

Welcome to VMB. The only advice I can give you is remember your first trip to Las Vegas well, because you will undoubtedly remember it for the rest of your life...... Happy birthday and have an awesome trip.:peace::beer::peace:

Welcome to the board! In my mind, you are not a newbie anymore because you found this board and all the incredible information here. Have a great trip and birthday! I know how you feel about hitting a club alone, but some of the casinos have nice lounges with decent bands that might do the trick for you. I have heard many folks here rave about the house band at Venetian, maybe one of them can chime in with details for you.

    Thank you guys :)

@Emeraldo...actually, I have thought about doing that jump. I would totally be up for it but it's not really in my budget. :-( Now even less since my bike got stolen today (pre Christmas present I guess) and I will have to buy another one after my trip :( But let me think about it! :)

@travelfiend: Thank you very much for the tip with the lounges. I would love to hit up places with live music. That's actually something I'd much rather prefer than going to a club. Love going to concerts and love places with live music. Will def do a little research on that. I might just end up in a bar that day lol

    Welcome to our world!

Do not worry about finding things to do while in Vegas. There will be so much to see and do that you will be blown away.
It is also very easy to meet people in Vegas so do not worry about being solo. Just make sure you keep your wits about you and use good common sense.

    Happy Birthday!!

Regarding the music, I`m staying at the Cosmo and hopefully going to see the Killers on the 28th. Failing that I`m going to hang round there on the 28th and 29th and feel the buzz that`s going round. Rumour has it they will beam it live on the big screen out front of Cosmo so it should be a good night even if you don`t get the tickets.
If your wanting to head down to The Stratos to either jump or just view feel free to message me and I will give you my facebook details.
Either way your gonna have a blast. Sorry to hear about your bike :grrr:
