    Hello there!

I am a newb to VMB. Currently I'm getting ready for my second trip to Las Vegas and looking to the very best things to do to keep the trip as exciting as the first.

The first time I went to Las Vegas was last year, October 2012. We were there just before Halloween, and stayed at Planet Hollywood. My boyfriend's aunt took me and my boyfriend. It was an absolutely incredible experience, and I am hooked! I made an itinerary, and completed a good chunk of the well known tourist attractions such as:

Roller coaster at New York, New York
    Las Vegas Nights light tour
    Fountain at Bellagio
    Volcano at Mirage
    Siren show
    Freemont St
    Madame Tussads
    Ellis Island for dinner
    Wildlife Habitat at Flamingo
Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay

But now we're gearing up for my second trip for St. Patrick's Day 2014. I am in need of the absolute best places to go to truly experience St. Patrick's Day the Vegas way. :) Let me know of any suggestions you have!

    Toodles! - designmine9:thumbsup:

    Looking at your list:

The Sirens of Ti show is gone now. They are putting in a shopping complex or something.

If you are going to do the roller coaster and NYNY and Shark Reef they have a promotion for 3 attractions: http://luxor.com/entertainment/entertainment_3for57.aspx
How much of a deal it is really depends on what attractions you pick (I think the roller coaster is the cheapest one?) but might let you save a few bucks on another attraction.

I would probably save going to Ellis Island for maybe the 4th or 5th trip, or maybe even later - its a dumpy little casino with nothing to see there, the only reason people get excited about it is because they have that cheap steak special and that lets them say "I had a steak dinner in Las Vegas" but its not the same thing as going to an actual steak house: its just a cheap cut of meat, the kind you can get at your local grocery store for a couple of bucks.

If going to Fremont Street set your arrival time to later in the day, like after 5PM. Thats when the place really starts to come alive and the shows start at 6PM. They also have live shows and other special events, you can check their website closer to your trip to see what will be going on and when: http://www.vegasexperience.com/

Thanks for the input! I actually did all those things last year when I went. I really liked Ellis Island and their steak, but I understand that everyone has different tastes.

welcome to the board designmine! If you are there for St. Patricks day my suggestion would be to head downtown. They seem to do more celebrating there than any of the other places. New York New York is also another fun, packed place that day especially since they have Nine Fine Irishmen pub there. Last time I was there for it they had an area outside ropped off. It was a blast!

Whatever you choose to do you are sure to have an awesome time. Good luck with the trip.
