Another beginner/newbie question from me. Sorry! haha

Are the sign up offers exactly the same at all Mlife properties? If I sign up for a card at MGM Grand, will the sign up be exactly the same at Mandalay Bay? Do they each have special promotions, or since its the same card they share all promotions across their own properties?

Same for Total Rewards... should I sign up at a specific casino for a better offer, or are they all exactly the same?

    Hopefully that makes sense... thanks!

I do not think MGM has any signup promotions. The itty bitty ones that TR has should be the same across all of Vegas, but are surely different in other locations.

Seems like somebody posts current promotions, sign up deals somewhere here.

This isn't an easy one to answer because the right answer is both "yes" and "no": Sometimes there are little differences in the sign up bonus, sometimes there aren't.

But the important thing is: the differences are never big enough to make it worth worrying about.

IE: if you are staying at MGM Grand and their signup bonus is $5 in free play and you hear that Luxor is $10 in free play... in that case yes you will get more freeplay if you went to Luxor, but its only $5.

And thats what I mean about it not being big enough to worry about: its not like casino A is giving $50 in free play, B is giving $20, C is $5 and D is $10 so obviously you should go to "A". No, its like one might be giving you $5 and another might give out $10

And thats all for MLife... with Total Rewards you get a coupon book at signup no matter where you sign up.

For all this one important thing about signing up for the cards is: you are better off in the long run signing up for the cards as soon as possible and starting to have your play recorded right away.

So you don't want to put off signing up for a card now and playing in their casino for a few hours because another one of their casinos is offering $5 more in free play and you'll go sign up later - you are better off having your play tracked and recorded as soon as possible for the sake of getting comps at the end of your trip or building up express comps and a history of play for future trips.

If you're talking only Vegas, the difference is going to be minimal. However, with TR, in Biloxi (Grand Casino) if you are a newbie you get a $100 slot loss...it is MAILED to you so you would have to return to play it in free play but it is still a good promo.

I have seen some CET casinos do a $250 loss play. Sometimes a little freeplay. But, once you sign up for Total Rewards anywhere in the country, you are no longer a newbie.
