For anyone who has had MLIFE comps, how is CET on RC/FP, once established?

I focus on MLIFE and Cosmo, but I always like a backup, and due to a very small amount of play at PH last trip, they're doing a feeler promo of 4 comped nights (on certain dates of course.)

I was considering doing a stint at CET next trip just get get something more solid on their books, but I know CET has some differences, so I want to make sure it's worth diversifying my play between MLIFE and CET.

When comped, I only play at the hotel I'm staying, and I have heard with CET you're less restricted to one hotel, which might make for a fun leg of a trip.

My big question is, I usually get 3 nights plus FP and RC (no resort fees as well) at all mlife properties and consider myself a mid roller. For mid rollers, does CET usually also give RC and FP, or just room comps?

Thanks for being patient with a question that is probably kicked around too much. I wasn't going to try CET, but I've been considering lining them up as a backup, and now that they're dangling comped rooms, the timing might be right.

Ps the reason I am interested in expanding into CET is that I focus my heavy play at Aria and Cosmo, but it also means I am very careful to maintain strong levels. By the end of the trip, I'd love a place where I can focus on moderate play and earn moderate comps, without jeapordizing my overall homebase numbers.

You get free nights at Aria and now Cosmo(based on your recent trip).Don't know why you would need a "backup" except for a 2 night fill in between MLife trips.
The only thing CET has to stack up against those two is CP.Even PH is a step down.
TR works similar to MLife in that the higher end properties will offer less upfront than the lower ones.
So you might get 2-3 nights at CP in a base room but 5 nights in an upgraded room at the Flamingo plus RC and FP.
I stopped playing at CET casinos completely about 3 years ago and I'm off their radar but a call to a host should help.

    HI Nitta
HI Nittany, always great hearing from you! My focus is absolutely still Aria and Cosmo....Cosmo is just getting so hot that I was approaching CET as a backup, just in case I fall off Cosmo's radar. :)

Again, I am HOPING that doesn't happen, but we like to stay out for 8-10 days, and my Mlife/Cosmo combo is PERFECT for us, Cosmos just been so hot, that I thought a back up plan might be wise, even though I hope I dont need it!

Trust me, I'd cry if I lost Cosmo, it's our absolutely favorite, but I am a plan for the worst, hope for the best kind of gal!

What you are probably looking for at CET is Diamond status. It may be a little late in the year to attempt that now. Or, check out "Diamond in a Day," which has probably been discussed at length on this board. Even Platinum-status have to pay the resort fee. Diamond and 7 Stars do not.

At CET, they will take your comps out of your Total Rewards Credits before considering any additional comps. We keep a few hundred dollars in Total reward credits at all times.

Some of this may have changed since I last heard.

We both make Diamond every year and are very satisfied with what we get, just on room/food/free slot play/show offers and reward credit comps alone. The only time we would visit an MLife is to use a MyVegas award.

CET - bit easier to get rooms than Mlife. Other comps like FP/RC less common.

I do pretty much the same amount coin in at MLife and CET and pretty consistently. MLife gives me more FP/RC and CET gives me more room nights.

My standard offer from Mlife is 3 nights in a standard room (basically at any MGM property except sometimes Bellagio), $150 FP and $100 RC.

I get the same renewing offer from CET every two months that's good for dates about 12 months out. It includes $100 FP and $50 RC. The offer itself is for 3 free nights at Caesars (and more nights at the other CET properties), but at CET you can fold the offer into a longer stay if your play warrants. And so I can actually get 5 nights at Caesars in a room equivalent to an MGM Grand room.

Certain months, and certain targeted weeks, CET I have an offer for $225 FP (and I'm able to get the same 5 comped nights).

So for my play level, they're about the same. But it has to be said that CET's top property, Caesars Palace, is only about the equivalent of MGM Grand.

It is true that you can hop around more at CET. And I'd say if you end up liking PHo and want to stay there in the future, you will be able to get away with playing a little smaller than Aria and Cosmo. But not a ton less. And if you want to stay at Caesars, it's going to take about the same amount of play as Aria and Cosmo.

I kind of agree with nittany that if you have a teaser offer, you can keep it tucked in your pocket for a while, probably at least a year. Or start small at PHo with a just couple of nights, if it fits your schedule.

I think it took a couple of "regular play" trips at Caesars before the FP/RC offers started showing up. I had good room availability right away, but the throw in freebies took a while to start showing up. This was 3 - 4 years ago, so they may be faster now.

I really had my fingers crossed you'd chime in Chuck! I think we're close on play levels/amounts/offers, etc., so if something works for you, it definitely gives it more validity in my eyes.

I'm not looking for a backup to low-play, it just might be nice to have the option to have a property who will be happier with a little less play than Aria and Cosmo, yet has no impact on my home base offers. (You've given that sage advice many times.)

I traditionally don't believe in spreading too thin, but with MLIFE, I'm finding as long as I ensure solid play at my main base(s), it really doesn't always help that much to have a second stay elsewhere. (For me personally, Mlife's platinum is NOT like Identity Gold, which DOES make it worth focusing on higher tier levels.) Even worse, I'd worry about affecting my Mlife corporate offers if I blended heavy play at aria with a trip of so-so play with MC or Luxor.

If you're personally split between MLIFE and CET, then I am absolutely comfortable trying it.

Again, I know it won't be Aria, but I'm honestly more looking for a more laid back option in my pocket (if I want it), and I play so little at CET, seeing comped nights there now just made me wonder about locking them down. (I'd of course play more with comps, but I just havent wantrd to waste my play money someplace where its not earning me anything.) If you and Nittany think I can pocket them for a bit though, I'd prefer this.

BCC-thank you for the great feedback as well! I'm not looking this year but for March madness 2017. :)

Nostress, as always, your insight was a big help too that FP/RC are less common.

Quick update Nittany/Chuck/nostress. I did get a solid cosmo offer it turns out, so I'm on their radar still, so no needing to poke around CET yet.

Also, I wanted to give you all a big thank you. I did some digging...especially with Nittany's polite yet dry "are you kidding me" (implied) insight. You're totally right Nittany, not sure I want CET for now...I'm just not liking the rooms quite as much. In the future I'll be patient versus panic and researching backup plans! (You saved me from another hotel choice last trip Nittany, that's two I owe you!)

So, big thanks all, and have a GREAT almost weekendd
