As Vegastripping reported last winter, the Aria has changed the brand of drinks available for comp on the non-high limit casino floor. I have not seen any reports on the exact brands that are now available, so I emailed an Aria concierge and received back the following list:

    Vodka

    - Sky, Absolute, Kettle One

    Gin

    -New Amsterdam, Tanqueray, Bombay

    Whisky/Bourbon

    - Barton, Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Crown Royal, Jameson, Fireball

    Tequila

    – Silver, Patron Silver

    Domestic Beer

    - Budweiser, Bud light, Coors light, Miller Lite, Michelob ULTRA, O’Doul’s, Shock Top

    Imported Beer

Corona, Dos Equis Lager, Heineken, Newcastle Brown Ale, Stella Artois, Blue Moon, Samuel Adams Boston Lager, Goose Island IPA

Is this for regular slots too at Aria? I like Kettle One, but never get comped mixed drinks as I never know what we'll is. Thanks for the great info!

Can't help you with what they do or don't serve at the slots recently (I've had Ketel one served to me at Aria in the past), but always call your brand, especially if it's something like Ketel and tonic or Ketel and cranberry, etc instead of vodka whatever or they will make it from the well. If they don't allow the better alcohol, they will typically let you know what brand you can get.

Thanks SH0CK, good advice. Aria is one I trust to actually tell me if they can or can't pour something (versus just substitute well quietly), so I'll give it a spin next trip...thank you!

I always called Grey Goose at Aria until they stopped that last year although you can still get it in HL.

I now call Ketel and tip the CW well early and ask to make sure it is that.
They will tell you what they can serve on the main floor.
Unfortunately,I am 99% sure they have subbed cheap vodka at times.
It has happened at numerous casinos including Aria.
Occasionally I drink rum and I know they served some cheap undrinkable stuff instead of the requested Bacardi.
If you don't see it pouring out of the bottle..............good chance they will try to sub something cheaper.

Sam Adams is a Boston company, that makes it "imported", I guess.

Ack, thanks Nittany! I've always had had my doubts if you don't see the pour. Especially on something like vodka in a mixed drink, that is less noticeable than a neat scotch, etc where you know right away!!!!!

I think I will be packing a flask with my own personal favorite. Taking an inconspicuous sip every now and then to ensure I don't get a hangover.

Why can't Aria carry one good craft beer? Jeebus. Even Rebel or a Firestone IPA would be OK. But years ago they were touting their craft beer, what happened to that? Never available on the casino floor, as I recall.

They may have changed their list of comp beer at the bars, but I was able to get a Dogfish 90 min. IPA at Alibi in Feb. The bartender knew exactly what I was doing and politely asked that I max bet once. Wasn't thrilled about that since it was dollar VP minimum, but for a $13 retail beer, I'm willing to gamble a little bit I guess. In my experience, craft beer on the floor is much more limited than the bars. Last time I asked a Cosmo and an MGM waitress, the craftiest thing available was "Fat Tire". Floor selection also tends to be more limited everywhere because the last thing the waitress wants to do is answer the question, "What beer do you have?"

When I was there in August 2015 I was able to get one of their own craft beers (from Sin City Brewery) when playing VP at the bar beside the sportsbook / 5fifty pizza.

Good question about their house craft beer.
They made a big marketing splash and then it seemed to disappear.
I'll inquire when I'm there in a few weeks.
