I would need to get a list of everyone that would be playing on that table. It would need to be financially worth our while to set aside an entire table and dedicate dealer resources. If there is enough meat on the bone then it's as easy as having a quick convo with the casino manager and VP of table games, both of whom I see and speak to on a regular basis.

Frank - Me and my buddies wanted to all get on a craps table for a bachelor party and we did the following. We checked with the Pit on when they were going to be opening additional tables. About 10 minutes before it was scheduled to be opened we all came to that craps table and took every spot. While it wasn't "reserved" we took all the spots and essentially got our own table. If Hunter can't pull off a true reserved table this might be an alternative for a VMB craps table.

Thanks for the response, Hunter. What Frank mentioned is what we were thinking; $1000 buy in for each member and ideally on a Saturday to maximize the participation. We're shooting for 10 people if we can get all the dates lined up.

Thanks for the heads up! We had another member mention this in PMs as an alternative and he'd communicated with someone at PH so its definitely an alternative option!

I was wondering if there is a website that has the diamond shows available for June.

not a bad idea, but since we've probably got people coming in from all over
I'd like to respect that and lock it down as a sure thing

    know what I'm saying?

Hunter, would be curious if you have any insight in the decision by PH to downgrade all the video poker pay tables. I could not find any machine on the main floor that was even minimally playable this trip - and my standards are not that high - as indicated in another thread I am satisfied with 7/5 bonus or 8/5 JOB which I realize is not really even close to "full pay". PH has been my "go to" casino for blackjack and VP the last few years - but this change led me to spend a lot more time across the strip at Aria and Bellagio this trip.

PH does have 7/5 Bonus. It is a bank of 6 machines by Planet Dailies.

Not sure how much Hunter can relate to the mgmt decisions, but I am guessing the reason is simple - because it pays the house better, and the hard fact - because they can get away with it. Not unlike 6:5 blackjack.

My question regards what exactly counts as a host.

While Vegas is my preferred destination, in April I did one of the CET junket trips to Atlantic City out of Pittsburgh here which I booked through one of the local junket companies (http://www.preferredcasinotours.com/).

At some point after returning (I don't think my gaming merited much attention, I earned about 1,900 tier credits over three nights) I logger in to the Play by TR app and I noticed that I now had a "Contact Your Host" button. My immediate reaction was "Huh, that's curious."

Upon clicking through though, the "host" (listed three times, once for all three properties in AC) is simply the guy from the local junket company. Listed are a work number, a cell number, and an emaill adress at his companies website.

Nothing urgent, I'm just wondering what it all means. I wouldn't have even known this was attached to my TR account except for the app!

My TR app shows the same thing.

It lists my junket host for AC properties.
It also shows a Vegas host and a New Orleans host (I've been there only once).

My home property is in Las Vegas and deal primarily with my Vegas host.

You can use your junket host for any AC trips you want to make.

What advantage to me would there be of using the junket host?

Hey Hunter, curious how the demand is for the FloRider at PH? Also, how are the renovations going on the rooms. I remember you mentioned that the top 2 floors were done I think and they were going to proceed with the others.

So, there are two types of marketing. Internal market execs (Executive Casino Host, Player Development Executive, Inside Sales Rep), and then there is a department we call "National Casino Marketing", or NCM for short. That department manages the service, coding, bookings, and payment for external independent reps and our local branch offices which include internal sales execs.

Your official is the independent casino agency that booked you, and you will be serviced while on property by an NCM host, which focuses solely on service and have no sales responsibilities. Their primary role is to handle all the stuff an internal casino host would do service and comp-wise.

Tell John I said hi next time you speak with him, I did extensive work with NCM while I was still in corporate. If you have any issues let me know, I can let the NCM hosts know if you need service or help with something.

Flow rider has been doing pretty well. It is early in the pool season and word is just getting out so it isn't exactly popping off yet. Renovations will be a long process since we can't take too many rooms and suites off the market at a time.

Cool, I've seen the flowrider on periscope a few times. If I ever get in shape, might give it a try lol.

Is the resort fee yes/no based on your status when reservation is made, when you check in, or when you check out? I don't usually play CET properties, but made it to 13000 tier points when I spent a few days staying at Caesars (on someone else's dime) in May. Next trip to Vegas is July and after using my free nights at Wynn then my free nights at venetian, I'm trying to decide where to spend last few days of trip.....when I try to book a caesars room online, it's showing room free but telling me I'd owe $97 for 3 nites resort fee and tax since I'm only platinum. If I go over 15000 tier credits before checking in to caesars, would that go away? What if I don't go diamond until after I check in? Somewhat interested in getting on CET radar so I have more options during my 3-4 visits a year (and folks here seem to suggest CET front end offers will beat mlife once they kick in), but inclined to just take an mlife room if I'll have to pay CET resort fee because I'll book the room while only platinum. Probably seems petty but I'm twisted enough in my thinking that I'll spend my last day gambling on a trip at V/P (potentially donating more than $1000 to them) because I can flash my card on their shuttle when it's time to go to the airport and save the $25 taxi ride ;-). Paying anything for room rubs me the wrong way.... I tried to find confirmation on either TR website or VMB that resort fee disappears if you go diamond before checkout, but couldn't - just saw some folks posting that they AVOIDED the resort fee by booking while diamond even though diamond status expired before their trip.

I don't work with hosts anywhere, just do corporate offers at casinos I like...I kind of don't want the pressure of thinking I have to make a host 'happy'
