The site I use to check car rental rates (American Express Travel) is now listing a new company in Vegas - Firefly Car Rental. Anyone ever heard of or used them before? Supposedly there's one in Chicago, not sure where else. Thanks.

I think they are part of Hertz.

    Hey Now!!!!

I'm sticking with Alamo for now. Too easy to re-book, kiosk in, and go...
Firefly has a bit higher rate than Alamo for the same time period.
I do like the name though- it's the name of my Horseracing Fantasy League team.

Well Firefly's rates have been dropping the last few days, and I had to go ahead & book them - the best Alamo I could get so far with discounts is around $186 for the week including taxes. Firefly was just rebooked for $157. There's no club to sign up for, so I guess there will be a line to stand in.

I'll keep checking for better from the other companies, but I need to minimize expenses wherever I can.
