Boyd keeps growing, no doubt due to their choices ten years ago. Don't know much about the original Cannery or Aliante as I've only been in each a couple of times. I have stayed at the ECan and like it. Rooms and casino are decent as is the food. I don't think they'll do much tweaking there.

I like what they've done since the downturn and before. They shut Echelon down before they got in too deep (think City Center). They also didn't mortgage their future with LBOs like CET and Stations. Probably the only regret is not having the Stardust in tact for additional profit and cross marketing. Interesting to see how much change happens.

    Good Luck!

Interesting to see what they do with ECan since Sam's Town is next door and Boyd will own both.

I think it will be a good thing for me. Right now Aliante is a inconsistent on hw they treat customers and comps. Under Boyd it will find consistency. East side has great rooms and send me offers often but it is really a place more for me to go so I can spend time and drink across the road at the longhorn. My favorite dive casino. Food at East side cannery needs some help for sure.

Hopefully they won't charge resort fees in Eastside Cannery

I think Boyd is going to/trying to get a stranglehold on locals properties...same way Derek Stevens is doing downtown

Don't hold your breath because they charge resort fees at Sam's town.

boyds and station casinos compete for the non-strip market---------station seems to give better deals to locals and boyd to visitors----at least that is my impression over the years----have been going to vegas for 40 some years and times change as to how comps are given out----have found that current practice of boyds is more favorable to me as to room ,food and free slot play ------both are good as to their inventory of full pay video-poker games with a slight edge to stations offering fpdw games although points accrue slower on that game

    Very well said!
Station loves the locals more, Boyd likes visitors more. I guess one of the big differences between the two
is that Boyd has many casinos over the country, but Station is just a Vegas thing( heard they planned to open casino in Cali?),
So Station is more focused on Vegas.

That's true in my experience. I get offers from Boyd casinos for practically no play. I play much more at Stations and get virtually nothing from them. I like Stations video poker inventory better and wish they were more generous with room offers.

The Stations used to give my youngest son a nickels player, me a quarter mainly and a little $1 player, much better comps to my young? Demographic decision?
