We need advice on getting the best deals or comped rooms at Caesars Palace. We prefer closest to the casino floor.

We go to Vegas a lot, but are not very savvy with this type of thing.

My wife and I have stayed at Caesar's on multiple occasions, most recently when I was there for a work conference this past summer. I got a rate of around $77 a night during that trip, which was actually cheaper than the rate offered through the convention. We slipped the guy at the front desk $40 and he upgraded us from a small room in the forum tower to a suite in the palace tower at no cost. The suite was great, and featured 2 bathrooms, a jacuzzi, and a connecting shower between the 2 bathrooms. It was quite nice, and well worth the tip. On a previous trip, we stayed in the Palace tower again on a comp, and just had a regular room with a view of the pool, and it was quite nice. I've never stayed in the augustus or octavious towers, but I've heard they're nice. I imagine the Forum tower is closest to the casino, but this place is so huge that it seems like most rooms are a bit of a walk to the casino. That's just my 2 cents.

The Octavious Tower is a long walk to the casino. I agree that the Forum Tower is the closest to the casino. The Palace Tower is closest to the pool if that matters.
