I could have sworn that someone on this board posted a trip report about eating at a casino in the Tahoe area that had a restaurant on the second or higher floor that had magnificent views of Lake Tahoe.

We're headed to the Reno/Tahoe area next week and I'd like to stop there for lunch one day.

Appreciate any help anyone can give. Thanks in advance.

Boy... I'm at a loss... Harvey's and Horizon are both on the lake side of the road, but you have to get up much higher than the 2nd floor to see the Lake. There's a fine restaurant a top Harvey's (now called Kitchen 19), which has a fantastic lake view, but it's enclosed. The Hyatt at north shore has the Lone Eagle restaurant, which is connected and has superior lake views and a nice outdoor area with fire pits... perhaps that's it.

The buffet up at the top of harrahs isn't TOO bad for a view...but you'd need to get just the right seat...otherwise, in the "lobby" area of buffet, there's great views...

Kitchen 19 is what I was thinking of.......did you mean "closed" or "enclosed"? I sure hope it is enclosed as it is likely to be a bit chilly. LOL thanks for the info. I just checked the menu and it looks fantastic.

Appreciate the suggestion, but we just don't do buffets.....always end up overeating and feeling miserable.

The Forest Buffet at Harrah's does have a nice view but the food is mediocre at best.

Yeah, I meant enclosed... It's on the top floor of Harvey's and has great food and the view is OUTSTANDING! I've stayed many times in one of the suites right below it on the 18th floor... Incredible sunsets!
