Why would anybody want to gamble after trying to get comps on MyVegas. It's tighter than a strip property!

Because just like XP and LP, you'll be watching your express comps and tier credits go up, and look at all the cool things you'll get if you just get X more points! And if you run out, no need to "visit the strip" or use game feeds, just go to the ATM!

It's an interesting question, and nevyn has one of the main answers. People like "goals".

People selectively remember winning big amounts over more frequently losing small amounts. And fyi, slots on myVegas are actually a little looser than strip penny slots. Most myVegas games are set near 90%, the Strip's penny slots are closer to 87%.

Personally I think it's a sobering reality on how penny slots actually work. If I was playing this for real money at the penny level (i.e. 100 chips = $1), I would have wagered $180,000 at this point, and I collect (~$200 = 20,000 chips every day) for a few months, and I currently only have 100k chips, which would represent $1000. So where did all my collections go? LOL

But I also earn comps to use from this game at a faster rate than the actual casino, I'm a real low roller because I know slots are such terrible bets. When redeeming these rewards, the last thing I'll be doing is playing slots at $3/spin...lol Video poker is the most action they will be probably be getting out of me, and even then, not a lot.

I have a hard time getting into this game, so I only play every few days for half an hour when I'm bored. My girlfriend on the otherhand loves it - it "scratches the itch" for gambling as she puts it. :)

For her, she would play it for free anyway, so the comps are just nice bonuses.
