... our club closes for the season!

    New irons = Callaway Apex.

Hit them (demo) for 18 holes on every shot the day before - had $500 in Gift Cards to spend at my club - so I decided to get a new set.

Only need 6 of them - 5 iron to PW. Haven't got the invoice yet, never negotiated price - I figured that with G.C. it should be alright? I know the pro well, and used to work in the business, so that should help.

    Anyone hit these irons yet?

Damn, that is bad timing. Sorry.

That's the way to demo clubs, in action. I was glad to see Callaway start banking on some of the equity of the Ben Hogan brand. I don't recall abusing these guys last time I was at Callaway, but as snide notes, nice look.

I called Ping yesterday to have 'em build a 3i to match my 4-w i20s I got two-plus years back. I know, I know, I know the mantra ...
