Hi all. I've been a lurker on here for awhile. Very intresting board. So i decided to share my story.

I used to be a mild gambler back 10 to 15 years ago. I had diamond status at Cet for years. Until they started hating big time. Thats another thread. I did play quite a bit at Mandalay Bay, Luxor and some of the other M life properties as well.

Started to play again in May of this year. Had one day at Excalibur. Made a few thousands points. Some express comps . Didn't ask for room or anything. Went back in June one day. Noticed a machine jackpot at a 492.00. Must hit by 500. Played that for hours. Finally hit. Didn't lose. Just kept recycling money on that. Played another machine that day at 3.00 a spin for long time as well. Lost on that big time. But all in all probably played at least 8
Hours. Went to excalibur vip to see if i could get a room. Welll it was like i was asking for a million dollars. Sooo hard. They said one night. However would still have to pay resort fee. This was a Monday night in June. Not busy at all. So i played more that night. Got one more night comped. Still kinda difficult.

Sorry have to split up posts. Battery on phone going low.

So I checked out of Excalibur. Decided to play at Luxor. Well that was a mistake, lost my winnings plus some of my own. Tried to get a room for two nights. It was a Wednesday and Thursday. Tough once again. But was able to get comped. No real food except for express comps. Which really wasn't much at all.

Id say my bankroll was a little over 2000, for both places total. However I did get lots of play. I was upgraded to Gold. Starting from zero tier credits in May and had over 100,000 after these 4 days.

I started checking Mlife for offers. Nothing. Than in mid July, Got a tournament offer in my email for August. That was for 3 nights and tournament. Went for that. Well the machines were super tight. I mean super tight. Didn't get much play at all. Maybe 3000 points. Bankroll 1700. Gone in a few hours.

A few days before the tournament I checked Mlife. I had two return offers. One offer from Excalibur. One from Luxor. Both were three nights, 150 free play.

I took the Excalibur offer in September. Once again took 2000. Got a lot more play, but lost. So I had around 160,000 tier credits at this time.

Decided to take the Luxor offer in September as well. Didnt take as much. I think 1500. Played and played. lost :< . After this trip I had over 190,000 tier credits. So close to platinum. Lost em of course with the October change.

Not long after this trip I see two more offers from Excalibur and 2 from Luxor. Both 3 nights and 100 in resort credit and $200 free play.

So took the Luxor offer this past weekend. Plus have the other booked for end of October. Excalibur have one booked for next month and the other haven't booked yet. Doesn't expire till 31 of January though.

So this post may be more of a trip report. However I wanted to point out that Mlife does send offers quite a bit.

My money situation has changed, and I will have to get back to work after a 20 year hiatus.

I do plan on taking the rest of my offers. Since I did play a lot, and deserve em. Probably wont play. This has some to do with fiances. However I have had bad experience with housekeeping. Had trouble getting room cleaned on two seperate occasions. The supervisor just sighed on the phone and sounded like i was a problem to her. Then when housekeeping came up. The housekeeper was downright rude. Saying stuff in Spanish under her breath. Hello you should be happy you have a job. Also a time a dealt with vip services. The lady there, treated me horribly. Just threw my player card at me. So I'm done with them.

    Sorry so long.

They are smoking the good stuff. I've been loyal to the MGM properties for many years and have some decent offers. My next trip is the 3-nite comp at the B with FP and F&B...

So I visit 3x a year and get credits and lose the credits that expire and gain some...blah,blah,blah. Well now they take all my points away and my wife, or lack thereof, is still linked to my account. I didn't know that, but my offer from the B is actually one of hers. She's hasn't been out in 10 years. I've been Gold/Platinum or the old equivalent for 12+ years. The way I see it, is the less you play at Mlife, the better your offers.

So I've been adding up my free nights. Id say 27 free nights. That a lot
We shall see if they continue into the new year. Probably not since no play.

One thing I must also include. The mgm properties are crazy when it comes to deposits on cc. They are not approving cash deposit. Well watch your credit debit card. When I check in they authorize 150. Welll they did 8 different amounts to charge. Luckily I didnt have that on card. Very crooked

Do NOT use a debit card at a hotel. Never. Ever. (unless you have a very large balance and do not care about holds).

Yes debit cards really no good for deposits. The thing is so many hotels are not allowing cash deposit. Mgm /mirage says not allowed on casino guests. Redrock and Green Valley Ranch say no. Hard rock suites no. Cash use to be king.
