    This was Sunday afternoon.
My father in law ( FIL ) + I were putting up
drapes that my 18 month old pull down - out of the wall.:nono:
    *
My 90 yr old father + sister were arriving for a visit.
My FIL and father have NEVER MET before.
My son has visited w/ my father, only twice before --
My son knows the FIL a whole lot better.
    *
My father comes thru the door and into the living room.
My FIL steps down from the ladder....to greet.
My son walks over to the FIL and takes his hand.
He leads the FIL over to my father...by his hand.
He then, takes a hold of my father's hand --
and pulls both their hands together !!!!!!!!
    *
CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT !!!!.....from an 18 month old ?
WOW !!!!.......I had tears in my eyes.
    *
I just have to tell everyone who will listen.
    Thanks !

    Damn !
He just did a "face plant" and chipped a front tooth !
My wife just noticed it this morning.
It must be small ?...( I hope ) cos we checked after he fell.
    My wife is really upset.
I tried to tell her ....."It could have been worse."
    Poor lil guy.

That happened to my son as well. His dentist said not to worry about it since it was small. They outgrow those front teeth pretty fast. He actually has a scar from somehow cutting his face with the tooth during the fall. It's pretty tiny so many years later but I was pretty upset at the time.

Alot of people have told me about their experience
w/ "Face Plants" = broken tooths.
I didn't know it happens so often ?
His front tooth chipped at the corner ( small ) -
Dentist said watch it for the next 6 months.
At this point - nothing else to do.

Babies understand what people are saying

I have noticed that babies do understand what people are saying. So everybody should be careful what you say in front of babies if it is a negative conversation.

I practice talking to babies at grocery stores and the babies do listen to me.
They are not able to speak back to me but their parents and I can see in the
baby's face that the baby understands. They all think it is real cute to see that
their baby understands what I am saying.

You should all practice talking to babies and notice that they do understand
what you are saying. I have so much fun talking to babies and toddlers.

If I see a baby/toddlers crying at a store I go talk to them and ask them what is wrong. The mother will tell me what the child wants. I then talk some sense
with the child and they calm down and stop crying. The toddlers who can talk
will start talking to me. I call myself the child whisperer.lol.

Joe, you have a wonderful child who understands what people are talking about.
This is why he knew what was going on when the relative showed up.
Yes, it was really cute that your child knew what needed to be done. He is a
very loving child. You are so lucky to have such an intelligent child.
