    My Trip Report

I'm heading to Vegas on Thursday, April 16th for a much needed ladies weekend in Vegas. The trip was loosely discussed while 3 of the 4 of us were hammered at my house on New Years and given that our ages range from 28-33, we all decided it would be an awesome idea to travel to Vegas with the main objective being seeing Britney Spears in concert. For most of us Britney was a sensation that started when we were in high school, and given that I'm a Diamond player at CET with access to free rooms, it turned out to be a trip we couldn't afford not to make. We are staying at CP...what can I say, of the CET properties, I prefer their pool where we will be spending a decent amount of time.

    The Cast:

    1. Me - lawyer by day, mid-rolling degenerate by night.
    2. S - MBA School Friend
    3. Z - S's sister
    4. M - Another MBA School friend
    5. J - my little brother fromCA who will be joining us Friday and Saturday in a room I have comped at NYNY.
    6. F - J's girlfriend.

    The Plan:

I am the first to arrive, departing from Chicago at 9:00am on Thursday and arriving in Vegas at 11. Have some friends of friends that I plan to meet up with for a few drinks at the Bellagio pool, but then I plan to put in some gambling time. As I posted on Saturday night, I won the jackpot (pictured in this post) which will definitely help with the Vegas bankroll. M arrives on Thursday evening and will likely be wasted upon arrival if she indeed finds out that the current pregnancy scare is just a scare (she's happily married but very much not ready for a child). :vomit: She will be "high-fiving the angels" as we like to say if everything works out in her favor. Since I've never played craps and she loves it, our plan is to find a relatively low-rolling table so that I can learn the ropes. S and Z arrive on Friday, along with J&F. The only plans that are set in stone for the weekend are as follows:

Dinner with J&F at the Caesars Buffet on Friday night
Ladies dinner on Saturday at Searsucker in Caesars (I'll report back on how it is given that it has been open for less than a month)
    Britney Saturday night
KA on Sunday at 7 thanks to MyVegas

Gambling Plan: I may have to try my luck at high limit slots again given my recent luck, but generally I tend to primarily be a slots player with Buffalo being my favorite.

I'll do my best to take everyone here along for the ride, no matter how bumpy it gets. I can guarantee that there will be a lot of drinking, a decent amount of gambling and some debauchery thrown in for fun. I know how much I enjoy reading the TRs on this board, so I'll do my best to keep you all updated on the trip...I'm guessing it may help slow down the losses as well. :peace:

Nice buffalo win. As for Searsucker, their appetizers and sides were really good and I thoroughly enjoyed the pork butt for the main protein.

Have a fun weekend! I'll put the diamond lounges on high alert to keep you all well liquored up.

Glad to know that Searsucker was good! I've emailed my host to ensure that I can get all friends in the DL...hoping that works out!

Have fun - I am antsy waiting for my trip (couldn't even make it to June, booked one in May, haha), so I enjoy the reports. I shall particularly enjoy one from another Jennifer (making a bit of an assumption there - quite the popular name in our generation, huh?)

    Best of luck to you!!!

    Looking forward to the report!

For fairly low-limit craps with a great crew ... the Bellagio has a table just across from the casino cage (the one right at the intersection of the two walkways) that usually is $10 during the day. Really fun crew. Have always had good luck at it.

I'm definitely a Jennifer, but my initials also spell JEN. I loved that so much that I did not change my name when I got married  I'll do my best to entertain you before you leave!

Thanks for the heads up! I'm a little scared of craps. Seems like there can be an awful lot of money out on the table at any given time...

My friends and I are all set for the Diamond Lounge on Saturday pre-Britney. Since we are eating dinner at 6ish like senior citizens (no offense seniors, I just usually don't eat that early) we should have ample time to consume some great beverages pre-Britney. I'd probably prefer to be gambling, but since only 1/2 of us are degenerates (with me taking top prize) I want to have something to do that the other two will enjoy. It really can be tough to schedule in gambling time when you aren't necessarily with a gambling crowd...if anyone has any ideas (without sacrificing the much needed tan), I'm open to hear them.

I had great plans to pack last night, but as the family financier I had to finish my mom's taxes instead. I hate packing. I'd rather do laundry than pack. I don't know why. And I always forget something no matter what.

I have $255 of freeplay today that I'm going to use at the local casino. I figure I may as well head to high limit again and see if I can eek out another surprising win - with house money, why not right?

I usually wait until everyone goes to bed and then I gamble. Or if they're doing something I'm not into, like outlet mall shopping, I'll say "See you in a few hours!" and hit the tables.

Sandy- I had been at the casino a few hours and burned through around $500. I moved to an old trusted machine and got it back up to $250 at which point I decided to throw reason to the wind and go to high limit. I had enough for 6 spins on the machine. I hit the jackpot on spin #3.

What the heck? Are you playing at Rivers or Hammond pre-Vegas tripping? Hard core.

    I like it.

I'd say send them to the spa, shopping, or to go see Vegas things you've (probably) seen a million times, like the Bellagio fountain show and the Mirage volcano. Otherwise, wake up earlier than them and get a few hours in.
