Enjoy your stay. Check out the full pay bar top if you like video poker.

Pickup one of the brochures at the Players Club, it explains many of the antiques around the place.

Let us know how your stay was. I have never stayed there but always make a point of visiting when I go downtown. I love their beer and the sushi is good and cheap at the 777.

I haven't booked yet but will be staying there in January for four nights. It's the only downtown hotel I stay at, primarily for the boars head bar. And I don't even really play VP, i just really like good beer for a good price and we just like chilling at the bar and hanging out.

Good luck Johnvic. Hope you have a good time at the MSS. BTW, if noise bothers you, you may want to call and specify on your reservation to not have a room facing the freeway (noisy all hours of the day and night), or not have a room so close to the train tracks (the trains bother some people). Because you will be there during the labor day holiday some types of rooms may be booked so best to have it on the reservation so they don't put you in a "noisy" room. I like the rooms facing south (facing the plaza) because you don't get the freeway noise, I also ask for a room in the middle of the building since it will be away from the train tracks and the Main Street traffic noise. But that's just me.

Thanks for the tips. I would be fine with train whistles but less so with the freeway.

We love it at MSS. Typically have week-long stays there in April, September, and November.
We always reserve a quiet "01" end room (401 , 501 , 801 , etc.) , at the far east end, looking south toward the Plaza.
