Thanks for posting that most interesting link. I don't think I'd visit even if I was still in town, but it's fascinating to see what the minimum requirements are to maintain a gaming license.

I'll be in Las Vegas during that time, and I think I'll probably stop by there, for bragging rights if for nothing else - playing a slot machine in a trailer isn't that appealing to me, but the list of people who can legitimately claim to have gambled at the Moulin Rouge can't be that extensive. If they have souvenier t-shirts or coffee mugs, I'll be all over that too.

Doesn't the Pioneer do that as well? Have some slots set up in a trailer once a year to maintain their license

I will be home on the 11th and will be stopping by for my bragging rights as well.

Just stopped by the Moulin Rouge - about a dozen video poker machines in a trailer, no chairs. The two guys running it were very friendly, and the crowd seemed to be good-natured locals who were all there for bragging rights; they were friendly, and one even walked in with donuts. One guy had a decent win while I was there; I spent 5 minutes, and left down $5. No t-shirts or coffee mugs available - too bad, because I think they would have sold. I'm glad that I rented a car this time - I wouldn't have wanted to walk through that neighborhood from downtown.

Lol, I stopped by around 9am this morning. I counted 16 video poker machines. Nice airconditioning going, and that was about it. I was the only one inside, but there were a couple people outside taking pictures. I got a picture of the banner they had hung up, and of the trailer.
