Some people should not have children. Very sad, the child is the loser no matter what happens to the mother.

This was a big problem at Parx near Philly shortly after it opened. I think they hired extra security to check cars. This was in the winter, but just imagine a sunny August day. Even though her name and photo was published, shame isn't what it used to be.

So true! And some people are too stupid to understand they should be ashamed!

The poor kid. I hope the child has at least one responsible adult in his/her life.

Foster care would be much better than being left in a car for 8 hours. I hope the judge puts some serious restrictions on that mother. :grrr:

Nobody here asked if she won or lost money in the casino.

If she hit a few royal flushes then she would have the money to give her child a better life. Isn't that worth 8 hours?

I've seen the little ones huddled togeather in the wee hours .

In the hallway outside the casino, imagine if the wrong person sees them.We even called security on some jerk who left his dog in a locked vehicle on an 85 degree day.

Well put! Sadly, this happens a lot out here... either left in the car OR we often read about a 4 year old being left at home to watch/care for a newborn or thereabouts while "crystal-meth mom/dad" goes down to the neighborhood slot parlor. Awful...:nono:

She is a mother in name only, unfortunately.

8 hours is obviously too long, but nothing wrong with leaving the little kid in the car for a short while, when I was a kid my parents would leave us in the car all the time while they shopped. Alot of you would probably say that "times have changed", well they may have but not for the better.

This person ought to lose custody over her child. Who leaves their children in the car for that long to gamble, especially in this cold weather?

Wow that is so sad, i couldn't imagine leaving my child (now 15) through both lunch and supper sitting in a car, doesn't matter the reason. That poor kid must have been so scared & hungry.

There was a mother here recently in the city who left her 3 kids so she could go party. They yelled out a window and someone called the cops, they were under 6 and living in filthy squalor eating dog food. CPS obviously stepped right in and other tenants said the mother seemed like a good mom. Just goes to show how much we do not pay attention around us anymore. It used to be all the neighbors knew everyone. Now it is not so safe.

Recently in Vegas, we saw a child (2 or 3 years old) in a stroller RIIIGHT at the entrance to Harrahs.
My wife commented actually saying it HAD to be a joke or hidden camera...as no one is THAT stupid! (I mean, the stroller was like right on the edge of that big open air entrance between Harrahs and Mirage)
Wished we'd of got a picture...
