Thought I'd change it up a little, and start a new thread a little different

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you at a Table game or at a Machine?

I'll start. On a trip about 8 to 10 years ago, I was casino hopping one afternoon, and found myself at the Excalibur playing BJ. I had just gotten my Corona w/ lime from the waitress. I was seated at 3rd base, and proceeded to push the lime into the Corona with my index finger, held my index finger inside the bottle and then turned the Corona upside down so the lime would go to the bottom. I held the bottle away from the table but towards the pit, and then turned the bottle back right side up and removed my index finger. Only, I removed my finger too quickly and the pressure from the carbonation shot a little of my Corona directly into the Pit Boss's eye and jacket lapel. The Pit Boss was none too happy with me to say the least.

Embarrassingly, my adventures w/ Corona & lime didn't end there. On the same day, I was at the Mandalay Bay, and proceeded to do the same thing to another Pit Boss.

I was once playing craps at The Palazzo when a very loud and drunk Canadian gentlemen approached me. I proceeded to gamble and drink with him and he was so very loud and obnoxious that people stared and often complained and sometimes even security was called in to "keep an eye on things".....

I split Jacks vs. a 6. That was my sobriety check. Got up and left after that hand. And yes, I lost both hands.

About 8 years ago, during our downtown trek of every tip, my crew was out of control drunk (shots of tequila with every round of beers) at the Plaza poker room. We were not only shut off by the supervisor (waving his hand across his throat when the cocktail waitress came around the final time) but were actually asked what it would take to get rid of us, because we decided it was wise to sing random Christmas Carols..... being Labor Day weekend, of course.

The bottom line is that the Supervisor was beyond cool, and he gave us all breakfast comps. Thinking back, i'm surprised that security wasn't called! So, not embarassing at the time, but the following day being reminded by the cocktail waitress (whom we also didn't remember) what were were doing made us all proud.

Not something i did, but my friend who was way too drunk was at a Blackjack table with a young lady he had met during the trip, and let's just say he only had 1 hand to play blackjack with because his other hand was down her underpants under the table. I still shake my head at that one.

The only story I can come up with personally, is being involved in a $200 hand of poker at 1/2 NL Hold'em, having the other guy show his hand first, and then tossing my hand onto the table face up, thinking I had whiffed on the straight I was going for. I had in fact missed, but I caught a flush instead, and won the hand. That's when I knew 6am was probably my limit for an all night poker binge.

At least you did it against a 6! (The count doesn't have to be that high, actually, for this to be the correct play.) If you did it against a ten, then yes, you should go play slots....

One of my first attempts at shooting craps I managed to first not hit the back wall with a roll, and then bounce one of the dice off the table on the next try.

At poker I've thought I had a flush without re-checking hole cards and then turned out to have nothing.

Not much embarrassment at blackjack. I had one of the dealertainers (Dolly Parton I think) overrule me about the correct play as I was advising a friend on what to do on a hand (I forget the exact situation).

    Not me, but …
The guy standing next to me playing craps at the end of the table table tossed the dice. A woman at the other end of the table was watching her husband play. The dice hit the table and one hops up and goes down her neck, landing in her bra. She was NOT even wearing a low cut top. She turned about 7 shades of red and the box man said he needed the die back. So she reluctantly went fishing for it, then handed it to the guy.

He looked at the die and said, "It looks like you switched dice. I'll need to check." :wink2:

I once hit a blackjack in Tahoe. Dealt a 21, called for a hit, got another 10. Pit Boss was not happy at all. Got paid for the win, but not for the blackjack. (There was a perfectly cromulent explanation - the dealer and I were both distracted by the exceedingly mammalian young woman who was passing by the table at the time.)

On my 21st birthday I remember playing 1/2 Hold 'Em. I went to grab 2 chips and call the $2 bet. All of a sudden I hear the dealer say "Raise, $26". Because I wasn't paying attention I had thrown out a $1 chip and a $25 chip. Being a casino virgin at the time, I of course told the dealer it was a mistake, but there was no getting out of it. Thankfully everybody at the table folded to me. One of them could have easily stole the pot with a re raise on me.

Twice I've spilled beer all over the blackjack table. (Once I was very drunk, once sober). The sober time I soaked all the cards and they had to bring in replacements and it took forever and everyone gave me the stink-eye. I wish I would have been drunk on that one since I wouldn't have felt so dumb.

A friend of mine as playing cards with me and asked the woman next to him when she was going to have her baby. She was not pregnant.

I don't know if it is embarrasing or not, but still pisses me off, and I will never forget it- was big blind on a 1-3 NL Hold Em table in Kansas City, and was dealt Q2 off. Guy raises $20 preflop, I fold, and flop was Q Q Q. :vomit:

On a come out roll, playing craps way late into the night and after plenty of Bud Lights I grabbed and threw 3 or 4 dice down main street. The box man didn't think it was very funny and didn't want to believe me that it was an honest mistake.

The previous post about a dice down a woman's shirt reminded me about one of the most fun sessions I can remember. The table had been really really hot for maybe an entire trip around the table. After it cooled down and remained steady for a while myself and a few friends took our turns trying to bounce the dice into the cleavage of a very large set resting over the money rack. Tons of jokes concerning dice, "racks" and "sets". The woman never realized what was going on at the other end of the table. After a while the stick and box got tired of the dice leaving the table and made us calm down.

At the very start of my trip in January, 2011 i sat at a $4-8 table at Bellagio and ordered my first Long Island of the trip. The table was 10-handed so it was very cramped and I was in the 6-seat, directly across from the dealer.

In the middle of a hand in progress I was organizing my chips and moving my drink around to maximize my table space. In the process my wrist struck my completely full drink, knocking it forward. It spilled all over the community cards and some of the chips in the pot. I felt like a total jackass and I hadn't even started drinking.

It must have been good luck though because I proceeded to run like God over the next few hours and I tripled my $200 buy-in.

I managed to spill about 4 beers all over a roullette table, loaded with bets from an NHL hockey player and his entourage. Was politely asked to leave!

This is not embarassing. I would say you did the right thing by folding Q-rag to a large pre-flop raise. But I understand...I'd be sick too over that one.

It's probably no surprise that many embarrassing events involve more than a little alcohol consumption (drinking or spilling), and many of my embarrassing moments are no exception. One such moment occurred a few years back at the Cal. Having just returned from a toga party at Caesars hosted by Maker's Mark, let's just say I was feeling pretty darn good. In fact, I was feeling good before leaving the Cal to go to Caesars. (I still don't remember how I got back, but Ms Gecko and another VMB member (who probably chooses to remain anonymous), lent assistance.

Returning to BJ, I evidently I got a bit carried away on a particular hand and took a hit when I shouldn't have. Then another hit, and another, and … while Ms Gecko, still in her red toga, started yelling something like, "What in the hell are you doing – you have 19! You just passed 23! Stop already!" The dealer and I were having a heavy conversation about WWII aircraft or something like that, so I guess he wasn't paying much attention to what he was doing either. However, the party came to an abrupt end when he noticed my drawn cards alone had to total around 30! Heck, he was running out of space to put the cards! I can't remember the exact total, but it probably set a record worthy of Guinness. From that point on, every time I had three or more cards, the dealer would say, "Okay buddy, let's see what you have." On the plus side, the same alcohol that prompts such foolishness in the first place also tends to reduce or eliminate any embarrassment – at least until later.

    Same (sober) story, twice.

    1) At Mystique in Dubuque, I was the banker at a full Pai Gow poker table. I was dealt a pair of Aces and Kings, but I put the Aces on top. When the dealer revealed my cards, he called a foul hand (which was proper) and the floor super said that if I had not been banking, he would probably let me correct it, but it wouldn't be fair as banker. That in itself wasn't too bad, but three of the other players gave me their wins back... that was very nice of them, but that embarrassed me pretty good.

    2) About two months later I am at the Peppermill in Reno, banking, and got six hearts and a 7d. Should have played the pair of 7s on top and the flush on the bottom, but I didn't notice the pair. I put the highest card (Kh) on top with the 7d and played the flush on the bottom. I pushed every hand, the dealer didn't say anything, but from WAY OVER THERE, the floor super said quite loudly "Cost yourself a lot of money not keeping the pair on top". Evoked a lot of laughs from everybody except me.

wow same thing happened to me also. this is what I wrote before i read your post

I would have to say my most embarrassing moment was back in 07 while playing craps at Harrahs at about 4am. I was drunk out of my mind but thought I would hit the craps table after the club. After holding the dice for about 15 rolls I chunked the dice down the table and one bounce off the table and landed in this ladies extra revealing top. She was pretty hot also. Everybody at the table yelled “SAME DICE”. LOL I got the dice back and rolled for about 15 more minutes. My buddies still talk about that till this day.
