    Hi everyone,
I have returned with more great Plaza news. If you have not visited the Plaza within the last six months I would encourage you to take some time out and come visit. Our casino floor has changed adding more innovative slot machines, more competitive Video Poker machines and an overall new look of excitement and innovation. With the advancements of the casino floor came changes to a well known game known as BINGO! We have given our BINGO hall some TLC. Below is a nice list of our changes. Another great fact is that Plaza has the ONLY BINGO Hall downtown.

    1. Guaranteed 2nd and 3rd chance coverall Daily at all sessions
    2. Free Slot Play for all Bingo players, Daily at the 9pm session. Jack = $5, Queen = $10, King = $15 and Ace = $20
    3. Double Pay session for all Ace’s and Kings who Bingo on games 2-10, excluding the Dual Daub, every Wednesday and Saturday at the 11am session
    4. No Split Bingo session every Monday at the 5pm session on games 2-10, excluding the Dual Daub
    5. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday we have Double Pay all the way at our 5pm session and a special Saturday session for 5x $1,000 coveralls at the 3pm session
    6. Best locals discount in Las Vegas; $10 off = $25.00-$49.00 / $15 off = $50.00-$74.00 / $20 off = $75.00-$99.00 / $25 off = $100.00-$150.00 / $30 off = $151.00 & Over
    7. Cocktails are served daily between 2pm and 10pm and pastries are served daily at the 11am session

We are pretty excited about our changes and look forward to seeing more all around diverse players coming to the Plaza. With upgraded slots, better payout Video Poker, more exciting BINGO we are working hard to be the downtown place for everyone.

    More to come!

Hi. I will be there for March madness for 3/18 and 3/19. If you are in I will stop by and say hi.

Can you tell me what will be replacing (if anything) the Island Sushi? I will miss that place. Ate there multiple times there in March madness 2014. Loved the Oxtail curry.

Hey Curt, want another way to stand out in downtown? Keep your blackjack 3/2. Maybe even advertise it on your big electronic sign. Check the board - DTG just went 6/5. 3/2 is getting rare, even downtown. To the purist, 6/5 isn't Blackjack. By definition it's 3/2. Maybe it needs another name, like "Blackjack Screw."

6/5 drives me crazy. Downtown better stay smart and keep 3/2. Goodbye DTG and the Plaza I have been getting more impressed with. Last time I was there played some VP and craps. Now it sounds like need to play BJ with 3/2. They had a really good band playing last trip while playing craps.

Sadly, fewer and fewer blackjack players know (or care about) what 6:5 or 3:2 payback means. Most players don't know anything about the various rules which shift the odds (H17/S17, DDAS, resplitting, insurance, surrender, etc)...they just plop themselves down at any table at any casino in complete ignorance of the table's rules. This is what allows more and more casinos to switch over to 6:5 without having to worry about losing business. Even downtown casinos are following this trend, which used to be shining beacons of quality gaming.

In the not-so-distant future, 6:5 payback will be unusually generous and "normal" blackjack payouts will be even money. Think I'm crazy? Just wait...

I've never played bingo in Vegas either, but have thought about it over at Gold Coast. I've kind of had a bingo itch lately and have been thinking about playing it here locally, it's been a few years. We are staying DT a couple nights this coming trip and will have to check out Plaza anyway.
