    Trips to Las Vegas:
Mystery solved. Searsucker, the Austin and San Diego and Del Mar, Calif., chain from chef Brian Malarkey, is headed to Caesars Palace and will take over the quietly dumped Munchbar.

In January, Hakkasan Group bought out dining and nightlife firm Enlightened Hospitality Group acquiring the Searsucker brand amongst their restaurant portfolio. So, it makes sense that Malarkey's first venture into Las Vegas will sit adjacent to Hakkasan's ongoing $38 million makeover of the Pure Nightclub at Caesars.

Behind the current plywood, the 2,525-square foot former comfort food spot from chef Bryan Ogden is being demolished. In its place, expect a menu of "New American Classic cuisine" with a menu divided into sections like Bites, Smalls, Greens, Ranch and Farm, a concept described as "both serious and fun."

Also once home to Elton John's "Red Piano" souvenir store, Searsucker will reside a few steps from the other major overhaul at the resort, the under improvement race and sports book. A fourth Searsucker will be ready to debut before this location, opening this December in Santa Monica.
