At the gate I've received Glenlivet playing VP at the bar. Feadolphus, does the Plaza?

Could we do that at the Boars Head bar where the JOB is 9/6?

I dont understand this fascination with thinking high end booze is unatainable, a typical 'bar pour" might cost the casino 40 cents, the premium 60 or 70 cents, and the mythical makers mark a little over a buck, big deal, they can and they will comp it all over town for "players". They're not handing you the keys to the kingdom, just giving you an extra 75 cents in booze two or three times an hour while you bet max every 6 seconds.

For dollar players like Joe, I agree. For quarter fleas like me...well...but I also bet every ~30 seconds, not every 6.

This matters not. The 5 spot for your initial interaction with the bartender amazingly opens up the vault.

I'm shocked to hear that especially considering they have great VP.
Good news though I will test it out in October.

My friend works at Boar's Head and said no problem getting MM as a comp with 5 quarters in and the bartenders could care less about which game you are playing, as long as it is 5 in and you are also tipping. I don't agree with this, but I have seen many people sit and play for an hour, drink several drinks and put nothing in the tip glass. To me that sucks.

I can get a 1.75 liter of MM at Total Wines for about $34 so the casinos probably get it for that or cheaper. I always drink MM Manhattans at the Boars Head.

Strange ...I just spent five nights there two weeks ago and never saw a "dancing girl". (Not that I wanted to)
Maybe I go to bed too early? lol

The Plaza was my favourite hotel of the four places I stayed. The most comfortable bed, best air conditioning, a quiet room to sleep in, lots of food choices etc.

Complete trip report to follow in a few days....

I thought it was the opposite for bars/restaurants. I thought that paid more than retail for their booze.

Hey there Plaza! I have stayed at the Fremont the last four visits and the only complaint that I have is that they are only two times odds. I am thinking of maybe making a change to the Plaza with the changes they have made. The only issue I have had with the plaza is their sports book. Last year it was dirty and it seemed like every bus passenger was in there on football Saturday and Sunday taking up all the seats. Have you cleaned that up? I am a green chip player and spend four nights on each visit. If you have cleaned up your sportsbook, let me know and I may make the change.

They do, local bar here got caught buying liquor from a Rite-aid and got in some heat for it. They are supposed to have tax stamps on the bottles.

Also, MM wont be 34 bucks for a 1.75. I live in KY and it runs close to 50 for the big bottle.

Yeah at the grocery store here the 750 is $27. Thanks for confirming I am not nuts. There is a marina in manitowish waters WI that buys all thier booze from the grocery store.

Yeah based on my travels $50 is a heck of a lot more real than $34.

I don't understand it either but it is real. Few places I go to comp Makers or B & B my other favorite. Hell, Four Queens doesn't even comp you Captain Morgan-some knockoff. At Circus Circus I asked the girl what the best bourbon they had was and she said "we only have one bourbon the house bourbon". When I asked what the house bourbon was I got "we don't know it comes out of a gun that says house bourbon".
