    Hi everyone,
2015 continues to bring about more positive changes for the Plaza. I have just been informed that very soon our craps game odds will increase to 10X and our "Crapless Craps" will be open all the time. We foresee these changes to occur within the next two weeks or so. With that in mind, I pose a question to my friends here at VMB... What about the growing popular game called Sic Bo? According to my research, this game is becoming more and more popular and is the second smash hit in Macau and other Asian countries. As a company, we are looking into diversifying our table games and would like opinions of this particular game. It looks to be fun. Any takers? As always...more to come.

Sic Bo is very popular here in some of the Houston suburbs with certain crowds... your assessment is correct... I live in a very diverse community who sometime tolerates less than legal gambling... not that I condone this.

That said, I would prefer 9/6 DDB like they have at the Cal.

Remember you were doing research, PM me and I can give you more details.

Sic Bo disappeared from casinos up here about 10 years ago. I liked it but paytables vary greatly and it can make the big 6 look like a smart play. I really miss Red Dog, I'm never going to see that game again.

10X odds on craps is more than enough. Seldom will players push odds past 1oX. Thanks You can convert your crapless craps to regular craps and that would be better to me
Crapless craps is just another gimmick that gives house more advantage

Otherwise just focus on solid BJ games and make sure BJ tables are available.

I hate it when I see these wierd games offerred and none to one players at them and yet the BJ tables are full and I end up walking out.

I hope to take advantage of your room offers you send me as DTG may loose me when they brought in so many 6/5 BJ games. See ya soon.

    feadolphus ....

My wife and I visited the Plaza a couple times during the week of April 9 - 14, and were VERY disappointed when we signed in at the player's club to do our free-play coupons. Much to our surprise, free-play was NOT allowed on ANY of the video poker machines !! This is just not fair, as no other casino in town, that we have gone to, makes that restriction.

So much for going to the Plaza for a fair and equal opportunity .....

Nice to see 24/7 crapless craps. Placing ALL the numbers is a lot of fun.

FINALLY! 10X odds on craps! I may actually go back, as I've been telling the management to do that for years. Hopefully, Gil is still working the pit there. Plaza needs a lot more double deck BJ, rather than all their carnival games. And crapless craps is a joke.

I'll plan to stop in during my 5/30 - 6/3 trip. Sounds like things are moving in the right direction. VP pay tables look like they have improved.

I understand why every fringe game isn't offered on every casino floor. That said, a casino that offers a variety of table games that you can't find anywhere else would seem to be a brilliant marketing strategy.

I remember seeing sic bo at the Riviera 15 years ago. That was during a time when everybody offered Spanish 21. Nobody offers either now, as far as I know.

You need good, reliable games to entice me to cross the street and gamble in your building, and having some unique offerings I can't find anywhere else wouldn't hurt the cause. I have no interest in playing sic bo, but plenty of people did when it was at Riviera.

Labor costs, space and many other factors obviously factor into what any casino offers on its floor, and I'm sure it's far more challenging than I think to add all the table games into the mix, but variety is the spice of life, even if Spanish 21 is something only I seem to want in 2015.

Last Sic Bo table I remember seeing in Vegas was at NYNY. It's a fun game as long as you get to roll the balls not just an electronic version.

I remember seeing Sic Bo but never played it. I agree with some of the others here that offering unique games is a good idea. As far as crapless craps, hate it, although glad to see 10X odds at least.

Sic Bo seems more suited for the strip but you can give it a whirl and see if it takes off. Make sure that you also have game cards explaining how the game plays and also give lessons to try to get the players to play. Low minimums might help get people hooked on the game, once you start to get a crowd then you can raise the minimums. I checked out the game on the strip but it seemed confusing or slow, since I'm a craps player it seemed too slow for my tastes but I really didn't play because I didn't know how to play. Craps is good because you have the pass line and come bets, not sure about the base line bets with Sic Bo so it seems more like roulette than craps IMHO.

Great that you will offer 10x odds on the craps table but I think you need a friendlier crew working the table. A year ago I played there but I wasn't impressed, the crew seemed to be mechanical and going through the motions. The craps tables were usually empty during the day, maybe they should lower the minimums to $3? You may want to consider lowering the minimums on other games like bj during the slow periods, better to get some income from low rollers than to have empty tables with the dealers twiddling their fingers. While the majority of tables can be $5 minimum maybe you should have at least 1 table at $3 (like for bj) just to see if it will bring in the crowd.

I'm looking forward to 10X odds. That'll be awesome! I'm staying at the Plaza for the first time this week and really looking forward to it.

Why? You can walk a couple of blocks away and play at MSS with their 20x odds.

:poke: Kidding but I like playing at MSS and like the opportunity to play 20x odds. I don't do it very often but great that I have that option.

Excited to see more changes at the Plaza! Curt has certainly taken great care of us in the past and looking forward to spending our whole trip there this May! I'm an oddball, but I had a great time at crapless craps last time I was there. The dealers thought it was going to be taken out in May, so it's great to hear it's sticking around. I really enjoyed the craps dealers when I played. They can come across a little stiff if you're just stepping up to the table, but they have a pretty sarcastic personality and once you get on page with them they are a lot of fun (I'm pretty sarcastic too so that's why I probably appreciated it).

Unfortunately I have no idea what Sic Bo is...going to look it up now, but I agree with keeping minimums lower when you can. That's why we play downtown! Now they typically get bigger depending on how we're doing, but with games like craps where you're putting a lot of money out there at a time it's nice to be able to keep bets on the lower end.

I'm a simple guy so I'm happy with the games you have now, but if there were promotions to get me to try out different games that would be awesome, especially if you can get me hooked on a new game. I stay downtown bc I like being able to get to different places quickly and being able to drink and not feel like I have a mile to walk back to my hotel, but the biggest reason is to stretch my dollar as far as I can. So any kind of good promotion that clearly saves me money, or gives me a chance to try new things at a discounted rate would be great.

I know but I'll be on business, putting in 12 hour days and my partner in crime isn't coming with. I don't like the idea of walking that 1 block from the Plaza to Main Street alone in the dark...

Just a quick question-if we can score a comped room from you based on play at other casinos is the $15 resort fee waived or will we still have to pay it?
