Never stayed here before.....but trying to compare it to the Flamingo. Mainly for the pool. We have been to the Flamingo and feel the pool will be great for the 25ish group that is joining us next September but also looking at other options. Monte Carlo came up and looks like it might be a little more expensive but still not out of reach (especially if we find some good rates between now and then). What are the "experts" opinions?

The Flamingo pool is definitely better than the MC's. Otherwise I prefer MC. I like the location. I'd consider it pretty average overall but also affordable. I've never been much of a Flamingo fan. Just one opinion :)

The Flamingo pool is better, but MC is better in every other aspect

The MC pool is still pretty good. They have a lazy river that is fun to hang out in. They also have a wave pool and a regular pool.

Can' t help you compare because we never syated at the Flamingo during pool season, but we have been to the MC twice during the summer. IMO the MC is not your party pool although they do have a stage and DJ at the wave pool during thre summer months, especially the days late in the week, like Thurs through Sunday. As already hinted at, there is a wave pool as well as a Lazy River ride along with basic hangout pools. I always found the entire place to be user friendly, never overly wild or crowded, but always a fun time. We're of the older generation, but we still have a pulse, so our defenition of fun may be different than others, we know wild when we see it and it not at the MC. Back to the pool, the food and drink service always good and although we never rented a cabanna there, I think the prices may be more resonable there, speaking of which, they have one semi-privite cabanna that has it own pool. It will accomadate 8-12 people so the daily price spread out among a large group could make it reasonable per couple, only mentenion it so you know whats there, I am sure you can do the detail work on your own.

Like other have said, the biggest plus to the MC is location, plenty of Vegas fun a short walk up the strip or down the strip from the MC.

We have seen the Flamingo pool area in the off season, looks like the place to be for a super time, but don't have any first hand experience.

Hope this info. helps. Have a good time where ever you wind up!

I'll give another vote for Monte Carlo. The pool is fine, and I love the lazy river.
