Has anyone stayed in the Suites at the Monte Carlo, and if so would you recommend them? Thanks.

Yes, which suites are you talking about Monaco, Diamond, Spa, Hotel32 Suites? I've stayed in them all. Monaco Suites, a little updating is needed but still functional....Spa Suite better than Monaco...still a little updating needed but very functional and the Jacuzzi is in the living area with a window to look out of while sitting on the edge of the tub. Diamond Suite is the most updated of all the regular suites in Monte Carlo. This suite has 1.5 baths, one bedroom separate from the living area, wet bar and dining table. This suite still is not your most up to date suite and not modern.

Hotel32 rooms are much better than Monte Carlo rooms, this hotel is located on the 32nd floor of the Monte Carlo. These rooms are very modern and remind you somewhat of rooms at Aria. I've stayed in the Lofts and Pents (1 bedroom)...the Loft rooms are very nice at 1200 sq ft...but unless your rolling with a nice bankroll don't expect to get one comped. The Suites are nice modern, and are about the same size as a Diamond or Monaco on the regular floors, but newer and have a clean fresh look.

Overall Hotel32 is the way to go but for functional, clean suites, the ones on the regular floors will do.

I've stayed in all of them too...blackjacknut's assessment is right on. The spa suite has a jacuzzi in the window if you like that kind of thing. The Monaco has an extra half bath. Both are about 700 square feet, and very average.

Stayed in the Spa Suite. Whirlpool overlooking strip was very nice as was the surround sound. One complaint: Really, a fricken 25 inch tube TV in a suite? Not that we spent much time in the room, but I doubt there are many tube TVs left on the strip. This was October 2010 so hopefully they have fixed that. Other than that it was nice and clean and the beds were very nice.
