I have stayed in the Spa suites several times over the years and they are starting to show there age. The room is pretty big with an oversized tub with jets. Once I checked in and the tub had NON working jets and it was obvious that the tub had been replaced as a big soaking tub!! Not cool on there part. If your there for 3 nights and its only $60 extra per night yes its worth it. If its only for two nights skip it!!

Stayed in Spa Suite a couple of times. Not a true suite with separate rooms, but larger room, with the tub by the bed, shower in bathroom. Has a wet bar with sink and mini fridge. Nice room, although worn as said by previous poster. I wouldn't pay a lot extra for it, but depends on what you and your girlfriend want.

Maybe try a Monaco Suite. They are larger than a standard room, about 600 square feet, bath and a half, couch, etc. I was able to get a good deal on one on Smartervegas.com last time I stayed there.

I stayed in one of the rooms at Monte Carlo last year and it was in bad shape. I typically stay in Holiday Inn Express/Fairfield type rooms when I travel and it was a step or two below that. I'd compare it to a Super 8/Red Roof.

The spa suites are okay but nothing really special. If you can get it for a low price to upgrade its nice for the larger room.

Haven't stayed in a spa suite, but have stayed in a Diamond suite, which is an actual suite with separate bedroom and the extra half bath. That's the upgrade I'd look for if I was going to stay at MC. It's not a dealbreaker for me that the rooms need a refresh, but the beds are not as comfortable as the ones at say TI or Mirage at a similar price point.

    Finally!
