So we're going in October (to get officially MARRIED).
We're going to use MyVegas points to stay a few nights at Monte Carlo (Thur-Sun).
My question is..I know it's common to get an "Upgrade to a suite" email offer...but I am wanting SPECIFICALLY the Diamond Suite (we're going to have sort of a reception in our suite).
I can't even find the Diamond Suite price on the Monte Carlo website (For those dates).
    Anyone have any suggestions?
I'm not saying I want it for FREE; I'm definitely willing to PAY FOR IT..but I just want your thoughts (Seems like it'd be like $50 a night more than the standard room; for a $150 upgrade price)

I think you'll be hard pressed to get it for $50 per night. The Monoco suite is usually a $30-$40/nt upgrade. And a spa suite is usually $60-$80 per night more. You'll likely have to call and ask about the Diamond suite but I wouldn't be surprised if it's $100-$150 more per night. But maybe you can sweet talk yourself into a deal.

Recently when I took advantage of an offer from MC, I was told that the upgrade fee to a Diamond Suite was $90/night.

Diamond suites are often not listed when looking at rates. The reason? They don't have that many to start with...2 per floor for the top 10 floors or so...20 maybe 24 diamond suites. They hold them for their higher tiered customers. I would call and ask if you have your heart set on one. As they get reserved and their inventory drops they will remove them from the site...hence keeping the rest for their high rollers. We had one last month...I reserved it 5 months ahead of time and noticed that not long after I booked mine it didn't show on their website. Good luck...

As said, these are held back for players. Can not imagine somebody getting a room for playing an online game has a chance at this. Just sayin.

If the OP was willing to pay an "x" number of dollars that the MC was interested in then it might work out. However, I don't see them offering an upgrade for a reservation that was made through myVegas. if the OP inquired about the room rates from the start then his experience/chance might be different. Every MGM room/suite/villa for the most part is bookable as long as you're willing to pay a premium.
