I read somewhere on the net that you could purchase an inner tub at the pool shop for only $15 and they will even inflate it, instead of renting one for $10 per day, but not sure how old or accurate that post was

anyone knows if this is true??
thinking about staying at Monte Carlo for 7 days and for $15 I could purchase one and use it all week
seem too good to be true

In May 2013, they allowed us to bring in our own $3 Wal-Mart specials. Four months later, MGM Grand wouldn't let us do the same. I would probably contact them first to make sure of their policies.

got a reply that said the following, much better deal to purchase for $15 and use for the whole week

    Good morning,

Thank you for contacting the Concierge Department. We are happy to hear of your upcoming stay with us at the Monte Carlo. You are able to rent the tubes at the pool for $10 or purchase them for $15. Thank you and have a great day.

My experience is that the ones you buy are little kiddie sized tubes while the ones you rent are man sized tubes of manliness.

We just stayed there June 9-14th. We bought our tubes there in the pool shop. They had 36" smaller ones or full adult sized 42" ones. They inflate them right there. On our last day, we just approached a family with younger children and asked if they'd like to have our tubes. They were very grateful.

that's what I was thinking, one our last day just give them to someone, staying at monte carlo for 7 days so I am sure I will get my money's worth,
just curious how do they tell when you leave if it is one that you purchased or what that you bought - do they look different??

There were a few different colored tubes, I'm not sure what color the rental ones were. The associate working in the pool shop had us write our name with a Sharpie near the handle on the tubes we bought.
