I have a Myvegas comped Saturday night booked at the MC. Best case scenario is we will be in room from 9:30pm until noon check out before we switch to the Bellagio for rest of trip. I just received an email from MC to upgrade to a Monaco suite for $32.

Is it worth it for such a short stay? We are hoping for a good nights sleep to help get on Vegas time.

    Thanks.

I had a Monaco Suite for a week when I was there in September 2011. It is a large one bedroom (700 sq feet) with 1 and a half bathrooms. It has 1 king bed and a plush sofa in front of the tv. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Lots of bath amenities including soaps, lotions, conditioner, shampoo, sewing kit, shoe mit, etc.

My room was very close to the elevators and ice, soda machines. To my understanding all Monaco Suites are arranged this way.

To each his own but I would pay the difference in price for such a large comfy room, even for one night.

For $32, easily. If it were a comp room, I'd probably pay $50 extra to stay in that room versus the standard. The first and only time I have stayed there, we started out in a standard room, and it felt like a Holiday Inn or a motel. It's just very small and very basic. The Monaco Suite gives you the additional half bath -- which is nice if you need to "do work" while someone is showering or using the other toilet, plus a lot more space to spread out. On top of that, as the previous poster noted, you're closer to the elevators and the ice, which is great. Don't hesitate, just do it.

I could be wrong...but besides the extra half bath, sofa I thought they also had an empty fridge....spa and diamond do...thought Monaco did too. ALL the suites at MC...Monaco, Spa and Diamond are right off the lobby near the elevators. From my extensive research ( I could be wrong) only the Spa suites face the strip...Diamond face away from the strip high floors and Monaco face away the same way just lower floors. Everyone has different requirements in their room choice...but for us a fridge, half bath and sofa are a big YES.

My room was not a spa suite and faced the strip on the 9th floor. It also had a small refrigerator near the 'bar'! Don't know anything about Diamond or Spa suites though. I wish my room was on a higher floor but that was all I could get. I won't complain too much as it was a pretty decent room and they comped my resort fee for the week. It was a very happy trip.
