We would like to visit the above places during our next trip in January. We have only been Downtown twice so we are very unfamiliar with how to go about getting to both. Hopefully we can visit both in the same day.

Also - we are not renting a car this trip so transportation advice is definitely needed. Thanks!

I can't help with getting there, but make sure you buy your Neon Museum tickets online in advance, the tours sell out each day.

Neon Museum is less than a mile walk from Four Queens. When I did the tour last May, there were 2 people that had walked and since I had a car, I gave them all a lift back to downtown. http://www.neonmuseum.org/

Mob Museum is just 2 blocks north of Fremont on Stewart and 3rd. http://themobmuseum.org/

They're now offering a combo ticket to both of these attractions together for $30. Check it out.

I was just at Neon Boneyard last week. They do a really nice job. I took a cab from Fremont Street to Boneyard with tip I paid about 10 bucks. The NB called for a cab when the tour was finished, about an hour and the cab was there within 10-15mins. Honestly even though the NB is located fairly close to Fremont there was no way I would have felt comfortable walking. I don't think I would have even felt comfortable with a group of 2 or 3, especially at night.

But it is very cool and like a previous poster said buy your tickets in advanced!
    Have fun!!

Both are great venues and worth the trip.

I'm not sure where you are staying, but if you are staying on the strip and don't want to pay for a cab. I would say take the bus downtown and walk to the Mob Museum. It's an easy and safe walk. Then you could take a cab to the Neon Boneyard, then take a cab back downtown and then the bus back to the strip. Or, just take the cab from the Neon Boneyard back to the strip.

Thanks for all of your help! We will probably start with the Neon Boneyard (by taxi) due to having to make a reservation, and then take the taxi to the Mob Museum after that.

I looked up the taxi fare and to go from the Neon Boneyard to the Mob Museum it would be around $7.20 (including tip!). We will just walk to the casinos downtown when we are done there.

We are going in January so I would rather take the Neon Boneyard tour during the day when the sun will be out!

Thanks for the tip about getting the tickets for $30 for both attractions - $60 for two people killing around four hours is a great deal!
