    My Trip Report

Since I believe I am the first non-resident arriving I thought I'd start the trip off right by beginning my TR while I'm sitting here at the airport waiting to board. I'll try to post as I go, but I'm not making any promises...

I was uber excited for this trip on Friday morning. Friday afternoon hits & I get a text from my mom that she's in the ER. I was in trial at the time & she said it was just for weakness, not to worry get there when you can. I arrived at 6 and she was in major breathing distress. At 10 I took her off of the pressurized oxygen. At 11:30 my lovely mom took her last breath. Carol Anne Lee: March 22, 1948 - March 11, 2011

Needless to say that tragedy took precedence. I talked with my husband & kids on Sunday and the told me to continue my trip as planned. We'd gotten her things sorted & her best friend wanted to take care of the cleaning so there wasn't any reason for me to stay.

Of course I hadn't packed or done any prep, so yesterday in between running the last of mom related errands I got the prep done too. Finished packing around midnight & the excitement really started to hit. I fell asleep sometime after 2, got up at 6:30 this morning.

I'm sitting in the airport now waiting to board and practically jumping out of my skin. Patti arrives shortly after I do & then its off to pick up the rental car for a day & get some party & poker tourney shopping done before we pick up Angy in the late afternoon.

Good times are ahead my little droogies...

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. Getting away should be good therapy. Your husband is a good man for telling you to go.

Well, Sin we are kindred. A trip with our Vegas friends is just what is needed at times like these. I think most know by now that my mother passed away shortly before the trip when I met everyone.

Hugs to you and I'll hopefully see you tomorrow!

Sitting in the Chandalier Bar drinking Cosmo cosmos before we go get our keys & begin the room set up. Ahhhh Vegas!
