I made a trip to VEGAS early this month and I'm Platinum not NOIR. I usually make Noir on my 2nd or third visit. looks like they changed it from 1 million Tier to 2 million now.

Just wondering if it is worth it to go to Noir I see nothing going from Pearl to gold to Platinum for me. I made Diamond with CET in two visits so is going for 7 star better than going for NOIR

So my question is which do you guys think is better being 7 Star with CET or Noir with Mlife?

7 Stars has specified additional beenefits, such as an annual trip, airfare reimbursement, $500 in comps, an additional $500 dinner, etc. Can you tell us what you play, hours, betting level, coin in, etc.? Also, Noir is invite only.

I am an MLife person but in your case would go for the top CET level.

noir and 7 star are both invite, but 7* actually has real rewards , where noir is given by your host or what ever u ask for, same as going for diamond or platnium. diamond gives u alot more than platnium mlife without having a host invloved.

diamond free 100 dinner, no resortf fees, free show tickets, upgrades , up to 5 nites free without host bookable.free niteclubs.

I'm currently Diamond with CET and Platinum with MLIfe.

I've been 7 star and Noir but don't think I can reach both so I'm only going to stay with one.

I notice I can do more myself with CET. I don't even know who I casino HOST is anymore they keep changing.

With MLife I have a host and she has to do most if not all my bookings and comps and the website offers suck.

Thanks for the input. Plus I'm having better luck at CET than MGM/Mirage right now.

I can see the list of things given to 7 star vs Diamond and Platinum vs NOIR. Other than the free cruse and the free trip I really don't see a much of a difference.

    Thanks again.

im in ur same boat , if i want anything from mlife i need a host to do it but at cet i can basicly do most by myself wich is a plus and lower expections for gambling as no host involved and nobody looking the computer .to see if can or cant where cet its already done by myself, i just find its easier .

thats my opinion but i still get treated great at mlife but i have to ask for everything from a host

I know both programs have a free cruse and free trip I have gotten both and have never used the free cruse.

So since I don't want the cruise is there any advantage of Diamond to seven Star for the big jump in tier play

or the Platinum to NOIR since the jump to 2million tier credits.

I think it was easier to get to 1 million Tier from MLife than to get 150k tier on CET.

I guess I would go for the group that you like to PLAY, STAY and EAT at the most. For us, that is MGM.

Also, I know of at least one person that did not reach the million, and did not have the "rumored" theo/loss but still got NOIR renewed when short the 1m last year.

7 stars has tangible, valuable benefits--$1200 in airfare, $500 in food, and a $500 celebration dinner. Noir has none of these. Could you get these from MGM as a high level player? Of course. But they are not promised, they are based on recent play, not tier level. If you are a RFB in a suite type player at MGM--stay w MGM. If not, 7 stars will give you more tangible benefits and is better for the more frequent mid level player IMO. The a$$ kissing factor goes up about 10x with CET employees if you care about that. I've never been Noir so I can't speak to the intangibles but they appear to be negligible.

I agree about MLife benefits. I have been Noir for 3 years. I have never been refused any request, but i try not to "push the envelope", but you really never know what you actually deserve.

I hit 7 Stars a couple of years ago, which was much easier than Noir which I was only able to enjoy for one trip. I like the up front benefits of 7 Stars versus Noir simply because I do not like dealing with hosts. It's unfortunate that CET, in my humble opinion, has a better rewards system because Mlife's portfolio of Vegas properties is superior to that of CET's portfolio. Unfortunately, my trips to Vegas have been few and far between in the last couple of years, therefore, my information/opinion, may be outdated.

I think that CET has to make their player's club system better because MGM has more upper-echelon resorts with more restaurants and shows. I get more for my Diamond-level status at CET than I would if I had the equivalent MGM player's card level. The point system is approximately 1 CET point equals 5 MGM points, but 7-Star is 150,000 points, and Noir is invite only.

I hit Diamond at CET with no problem. But 7 Star is way off and Platinum with MGM was harder to reach than Diamond with CET and I see more benefits with Diamond than Platinum. Next year I think I'll combine my play to either CET or MLIFE and not divide it. Cosmo is really weird I go from Sterling to Platinum in one trip???? Now I did do most of my play there but that is a big jump in just one trip. I don't see any benefits with it.

Will have to see what happens on this trip. But I don't think i'll hit either 7 star or Noir this year, but I'm good with that.

Next year is the question to go for 7 star or Noir? So far I think it will be easier to hit 7 Star than Noir and the benefits will be better.

CET has the basic Diamond level at 15,000 points, a 40,000 Diamond level, and 80,000 Diamond level before the 150,000 Seven Stars level. I was 40,000 Diamond last year, but I have no idea how the perks differed from the basic 15,000 point Diamond level.

This post captures the essence of the difference. CET is tangible, NOIR is not but your play may give you the same benefits anyway...they are just not guaranteed. The other really good point here is that when you throw out your Noir card at MGM props, it's almost like no difference than the person with a pearl card. The 7 stars card get you the royal treatment. Personally, I used to be one of those players where the dealers and pit bosses were "informed" of my arrival at their weekly meetings. I would come in and everyone in the casino knew my name. Those were very expensive greetings :)

7 star is better. Noir gets you to the front of the taxi line and a cruise you will never use. Other than that, there are not tangible benefits.

I have noticed that CET gives increasing levels of service depending on status. I still play mostly at mlife props, but the last time I was at PH, I noticed the dealers put markers on the table for Diamond and above cardholders. The markers have a number that corresponds to your seat at the table. When the CW comes to the table, she will ask the highest cardholder at the table first for any drinks.
