I never received any offers from mgm places in the past, other than "calender rates". After my last visit in Feb, when I played at Mirage, Aria(poker only) and Monte Carlo some.

I started getting 1 free night emails, then I got 3 free from Monte Carlo w/ $100 in slot play, so I booked it for July 4th/UFC. Then, 2-3 weeks later, I got the same offer from Mirage, so I cancelled Monte and booked Mirage for same dates. I was estatic since Mirage has long been 1 of my fav casinos to visit.

I just received another email from Monte Carlo, for 5 free nights + slot play(have till Aug to book).

This is pretty crazy since I really am not too big of a roller.

This has been our case many times. Never paid a resort fee at MGM hotels.

I just got an offer in the mail from Mirage yesterday. 3 nights comp in a 1 bedroom suite, $350 FP, $200 food, Limo. In the fine print it does say that they may charge a resort fee. I have never had a resort fee charged on a comped room. I image they put this in there just in case someone doesn't play up to expectations.

I didn't mean to turn the thread into a discussion about resort fees on comped rooms. I was just being a stinker and giving Username some grief for staying at an MGM resort because he/she always complains about the resort fee. :evillaugh

I've been charged resort fees at excalibur, luxor, monte carlo on comped rooms. I've assumed it depends on your level of play.

Indeed, we don't need another one of those as they never resolve anything. Suffice it to say that if you stay at an MGM property on a comped room you may or may not get charged a resort fee and whatever happens to you might not happen to somebody else staying at the same resort on a comp room.

What level of play were you giving them, and at what sort of games?

Amen! That's what I said on the 20 trick forum...lol!

I have to say I've been getting some awesome offers! I've not stayed at Mandalay Bay in years and received 3 nights with $150 FP $100 F&B, also from Bellagio, NYNY which I've not stayed there in a while, maybe it was my little bit of gambling I did last year, but I doubt it. and MGM, which we stay there often. I'm not into WWE what so ever and nope I'm not knocking it, but I would prefer free tickets to see Neil Diamond in September, since I could use my offer for Bellagio.

Auggie right on! I love your choice of wording, it doesn't mean someone is lying if they say they've "me lol" have never been charged a resort fee. Anyway the offers we've been receiving have been pretty great lately. This leads me to wonder MGM/MLife must know they ticked a lot of their customer base off with that system upgrade or supposed upgrade. The bad thing is, if we utilize all the fantastic offers, or a few of them, that means speaking on my behalf once again I would feel like I'm banging my head to make it there next year to maintain my tier level with Mlife, so my points don't drop off of when I accumulated them, that I wonder if it's worth it.

    Lucky you.
My decreasing offers are inversely proportional to my increasing gambling budget.
And just recently my NYNY host never returned my call.

I was there in February, I stayed at Ballys and played moreso at CET places.

I played some 3 line .25 VP(max bets so $3.75 a spin) at Mirage, maybe for 1-2 hours, lost around $100-150 from what I recollect. I got creamed at Monte Carlo at $25 a hand blackjack, only played like 6 shoots and lost $600...and I played the daily 1pm Aria No Limit Hold Em poker tourneys, like 3 xs I think

LAY IT ON ME BABY......LOL........and your 100% correct........

But we made sure there wasn't a resort fee added........or we might have passed on the deal........

Remember Rule #1.......Resort fees are a MAJOR RIP OFF......never paid them....never will....

GOOD LUCK to all Vegas players and just leave enough in the casino to keep her open until we get there....LOL
