OK, have 4 comped nights booked at MGM Grand under a Spring Buzz offer.

Want to then move to either Bellagio or Aria for 3 nights using Platinum Tier Discount.

MLife website wouldn't work, so I called Bellagio VIP Services and the rep said she couldn't apply the Tier Discount because it's back-to-back.

Haven't we seen people book actual comped nights at different MGM properties back to back, with the only restriction being that they couldn't have the throw-ins (resort credit, freeplay) from both? Anyone ever booked a comp stay back-to-back with a Tier Discount stay at a different property?

I know the website error wasn't because of the back-to-back thing. The website will let you do anything when it's actually working.

ETA: Just called Aria Sky Suites and they booked the Tier Discount no prob.

Generally, you can not do OFFERS back to back. Rooms sometimes are okay. As with EVERYTHING, your level of play (not tier) can change the rules a little. Since your level must not be too high and you are booking a discount vs comp, they should be more open to helping out. Which, it turns out, somebody was smart enough to book it and get money from you.

I agree, a tier discount isn't a comp offer. The casino isn't paying anything.

I think it's just one of those things where it depends on who answers the call.

Like MGM Grand, I had an offer and the website wouldn't let me book it because one of the nights was blacked out. Call #1: "That night is blacked out for all promotions, all I can do is give you a Tier Discount for that night, and the rest comped" Call #2: "Your play is high enough, I can book you."

So I'll just keep calling Bellagio until I get someone who will do it. Or sooner or later, the website will let me do it.

Just to follow up - called Bellagio this morning and they booked the Tier Discount stay with no issue.
